Should we setup up a Ashley appreciation thread?

Look to be fair he crippled our aspirations but he managed the clubs balance sheet and THAT is what has enabled this takeover.

We are saddled with no debt. It was a clean club. You look around world football and the big teams are ON THEIR ****ING KNEES.

We are clean as a whistle, no debt. Massive potential. Huge fan base. Untapped commercial income and and AND,......

THE BIGGEST **** OFF MONEY GENERATING MACHINE ON THE PLANET.

Now where is my ****ing wife, im going to smash her back ****ing doors in!
I just got back from that :1980_boogie_down:

happy days

Here's a question, 14 years ago if someone told you that the next 14 years were going to the worst time in the clubs history, suffering 2 relegations and fighting to stay up almost every season with utter gash managers in charge and being the laughing stock of the PL, BUT, after 14 years of utter purgatory you will become the richest club ever in the history of football.

Would you have accepted the deal??
I like it

Has anyone else spent 90 seconds imagining Bruce sat with a pad and pen making notes he intends to use at his “how do we improve this now we’ve got rid of the problem owner?” meeting? I have.

Only thought I've had regarding Bruce is. Who should go first? Bruce or which ever daft twat thought £40m for Joelinton was good for business

Gerrard has the personality of a wet dishcloth
and has no record of keeping a dross team in the Premier league, has no record of success outside a 2-team league, has no track record of developing a pro to the next level - is not what we need
