It's not strange at all. The HDM article is just re hashed stuff from two or three weeks ago, I didn't quote 'no news is good news' I was hoping it is. Because nothing has been heard from the Turk(s) for several days just when everything appeared to be going swimmingly. It's all fine talking the talk in deals like this but actually producing the readies is a different matter altogether. I experienced this myself only last week. A deal is a done deal 'no problem' one week, then two weeks down the line the buyer suddenly goes cold for no apparent reason. Usually because they haven't got the cash, access to it, changed their minds, or seen something better ? Could be the case here ?
City have announced Tiger Leisure is closed next week for a stock count and training. Doubt the level of stock is huge but it is unusual for a business to do a stock count 3 months into their financial year… unless something really is happening
Clearing the shelves for the new Christmas stock of Garden Gnomes and Mally Welbourne's new book expected in. And it's Hull Fair week, so it really is a good time for stocktaking. Conspiracy theories apart.
HDM article is quoting sources in Turkey. Implies its a fresh update from their side, as we all know the HDM get nowt from the club.
I've no idea if the HDM have a decent source or not, but they're obviously acting on new information and seem confident in it...
I heard exactly the same but it has gone quiet which is why I posted that I hope 'no news is good news'.
I am not ITK. I have no idea whether this deal will happen or not, but after the debacle of the goodbye letter in the matchday programme a few years back, I refuse to get my hopes up. I will celebrate only if and when we see the new owners with the keys to the stadium, posing for pictures on the turf with the club scarf. And celebrate is not the right word - I will be glad to see the end of the pettiness, the arrogance, the anti-fan attitude, the inexplicably **** decisions. Hopeful for an owner that is a football fan and understands the football world, that takes the time to get to know Hull a bit and understand the club, hopeful for an owner that has ambition and is willing to invest, hopeful for an owner that is at the lower end of financial dodgyness (I have a cynical view of all football club owners) and that doesn't leave us up **** creek. I don't actually want much to change on Day 1 - say the usual PR guff, acknowledge the club/fan relationship needs sorting out, say the right things, support the manager and the team and then in the background do a thorough analysis of where its not working and put a decent plan in place ready for the January window. This plan may or may not include replacing Grant. I've got a big long to-do list for them for Day 2 mind.
Do you honestly believe hull live has sources in Turkey... Most the stuff they print these days comes from things they see online ( hi to the person I know is reading from hull live btw )
There could be a twist yet, I've just seen this guy getting off the bus on Anlaby Rd. please log in to view this image
Ah bollocks. Same stadium, same offices maybe Assam can confuse him with all that when we are local we use this name, when we are talking international we use that name, only the fans call us City stuff.
