I’m all for that. And the separation argument goes away? So what if they are not separate? Can’t block it for piracy now. Human rights nope. Can’t pin that tail legally. Chopping people up nope. I don’t think. So what now?
I need someone to explain why it changes things to me so I can partake in the excitement. I still think the separation argument stands. That KSA do not want to be named directors. And the PL still want to name them?
The PL only wanted to name them so that they then had a reason to fail it on piracy - piracy no longer an issue so no reason to have the state named
The state can run a club - no rule against it. See PSG Man City have one layer of separation from the state and it was this method the Saudi's were following. The EPL were being dicks about the piracy to help the ESL clubs and BeIN. Now BeIN will be backing the takeover to boost subscription sales - its all corrupt as ****. What is interesting is how ****ing quickly the nay sayers in the media are back-peddling Edwards and Jordan in particular. Almost like they've had a bloody memo from EPL HQ.
So isnt this now admitting that, up until now, the Premier League were within their rights to block the deal?
