    I see.

Yea, why i added some new data once i looked at the population figure once i relooked at the data they provided rather than the pure deaths.

Still, since march, you're as likely to die from covid whether double, single or unvaccinated (looking at % dead by population) without looking into things like age/health of dead people etc.

Hopefully this will keep Peej quiet for a bit (it won't)

Since I have put Abe on ignore, it’s actually nice to see a proper debate on here.

Even if @BobbyD trashes my music taste, he’s doing a sensible job at looking at the numbers. Still a **** though <whistle>

If you read the Paracodal one you would never take a pain killer again

When I was diagnosed with an over acidic stomach (now changed to coeliac) I was told never to take anything with ibuprofen because it would rot holes in my stomach

Every single thing we eat or drink is potentially lethal to a small amount of the worlds population, we have to make judgements on what is good or bad for us

See that's a reasonable and understandably concerned position to take. It's a fair point imo. It's when you add conspiracy stuff and some deliberate agenda behind it all that I think you go too far.

I would hazard a guess that the reason many parents including perhaps @Chief are willing to have the jabs themselves but are reluctant to give it to their children is for the reason highlighted above. You're willing to take an educated risk for yourself, but you'll be far more protective over your kids if those concerns, no matter how small, remain in your thoughts. Especially when the scientists say vaccinating your teenage kids isn't necessary.

Btw on your point about never knowing about a vaccine being handed out so quickly with no liability of injury, this is quite a good article which echoes what you say in terms of not being able to circumvent the length of trials in pandemic etc. It was written BEFORE the Covid pandemic as well so there's no Covid agenda there at least. But it also gives examples of where they have shortened vaccine trials successfully.

The world is full of chemicals. Without them we wouldn’t be here.

yet ones that reduce deaths for a new virus are seen as bad.

I think the warm milk during the summer and the thick creamy bit on top put me off milk as I don’t really like it now.

You need to look at percentages rather than numbers.
There are many more vaccinated people than un-vaccinated so the numbers mean nothing on their own.

We've got a couple of girls in year 10 and 11 with quite serious long Covid. One of them is in 2 day a week and needs a wheelchair on hand in case she's suddenly too fatigued to walk and the other is doing half days.

There are reports that 14% of young people may still have symptoms 15 weeks after having caught it.

It's not just about risk of death.

Yep, over 90% of the adult population has had at least one jab.

The bottom line is, that if you look at the COVID hospitalisation and death rates, the chances of it making you seriously ill or worse, is far greater if you’ve chosen to swerve the vaccine, the percentages are more marked in the middle aged category.
