Due to a faulty network config change which effectively wiped the facebook.com domain and all associated domains off the web. It was still there but all the other computers on the internet didnt know the address. Its a bit like all the telephone directories on the planet having the number for facebook wiped - everyone knows facebook but couldnt call as they dont know the number. I'll bet the engineer who made that change is looking for new employment today
That’s a lot of pennies but if he’d had any plans to buy a rare Ferrari or a £20m$ mansion today , I’m sure he’d still be going ahead
