This looks a canny investment and unless QPR goes to the wall you can't lose out. 8% return every year and if they're promoted within 5 years you get a 25% bonus... QPR Bond launched to kickstart new training ground project
Whilst attractive, 8% isn't a great return, but the additonal 25% makes it even more attractive, and I presume that there'll be options at the end that could make it even better (I haven't read the link) and some sort of preferential treatment for their games
It's not 8% it's 5%. The other 3% is money off club stuff, tickets and merchandise. Saying that even 5% is an excellent return if it's guaranteed. Put £10,000 in and you'd get back £2,500 in the 5 years plus another £2,500 if they get promoted during that time. I don't understand why they want to finance it like this, they could get money cheaper using more traditional sources of finance.
My target is nearly double that return (to reach the target of doubling values for my people in each 5 year period, and I nearly always achieve it . . . . the rare times when I don't, I'm just a kick in the arse off, and I usually exceed by a good few bob)
The only place I am getting more than that is my peer to peer account with Funding Circle, currently returning 7.4%
Just read down to the bottom of the article:- Please note that investment in a security of this nature, being an illiquid investment, involves a substantial degree of risk and returns are not guaranteed. Past performance is not an indicator of future results.
