It's hard to imagine Moyes recommending a player to come to us given what a thoroughly miserable time we all had when he was with us. Fair play though.

Haven't read the article but thought Alves played the easy pass too many times, was expecting a surging Doyle type of game. Hope it was first game big crowd nerves.

If it had been 1-0 then fair enough, but at 5-0 he was way too cautious.

These days, however, you just know the coaching staff will have picked that up and will be addressing it ...

... who knows how important goal difference will be and Cheltenham were fish in a barrel.

From what I've read Cheltenham were really poor, but given that they have won 3 and drawn 3 there must be some awful teams in League 1???

Understatement. They were a joke tbh. They didn’t even try and slow the game down when we were battering them. I’d be shocked if they weren’t relegation contenders come the end of the season.

They were bad but we hand a big hand in how bad they looked just like Bolton did to us in the 2nd half of that game we were very good on Tuesday they failed to change tactics once we were all over them long may it continue

I think if we were chasing the game he will have, but at 5-0 centre halfs will always look for a midfielder than a long ball over the top.

much like the rest of the new lads, a touch of nerves in there i think and should grow into the side as the others have done...he also may be 'that type' of player, sometimes you need a more cautious head in there, even with 5 goals scored that clean sheet was just as important.

TBH I don't think Hoffman is the kind to take too kindly to defenders risking his clean sheet ...

... I'll put it down to that.

I'd have him in tomorrow instead of Wright tbh. Could have another Sanderson on our hands but we have to give him game time to see.
