A few pics... Reminds me a lot of Borini, appearance wise and ability. Let's hope he's more consistent tho.
Aye I can see that, definitely one we want to see on the ball he looks really hungry and direct. He will only get better. I really like the look of the 2 German lads, but more of that in January thanks.
Reading all reports that I can find this morning and can't help but sitting there with a huge smile on my face thinking about the match last night. I'm trying to keep a hold of my excitement with the way the team are playing and how the club is now being set up and I'm think I'm losing! I fell out of love with Sunderland AFC with the **** show that came with Moyes, Parkinson and the 2 previous "owners" but still watched the matches. Now I'm well and truly back in love with it again, feeling the excitement of waiting for the next game to be played, snippets of news about the team or behind the scenes, wanting to watch the last game highlights or even the game in full time and time again! I might go as far as saying it's like falling in love with the missus all over again
Ha!! Thought we had under jack ross. Anyhow we’ve certainly been in the box seat position before and ****ed it up. Thus time does feel different though.
Unless there's a follow up comment Johnson said it could be cramp, a muscle tear or his hamstring so fingers crossed it's the former.
He possibly niggled his hamstring pulling that defence splitting pass for the 3rd goal. If that pass had happened in the Premier League Lineker & co. would be ****ing over it on Match of the Day.
I seem to remember us never quite being in the box seat. Maybe once over when, if we won our games in hand, we may have been. But we always got so agonisingly close then blow it with a 1-1 draw.
We too with game in hand this time. We are very, very different this year. The players, the club, the mood. We are a new beast.
My attempts at 'not getting carried away' are non-existent, it's the whole point of being a supporter imo .... .... especially after the shyte we've plodged through for the last decade. Counting the days to Portsmouth now. https://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2021/september/cheltenham-town/full-90-vs-cheltenham
We were simply outstanding last night, not just the football and finishing but the amount of work that goes in off the ball is fantastic. Players constantly making runs and dragging players out of position and also the covering for each other is brilliant, somebody is always available to drop in and cover if somebody makes a run. We look so much fitter and well drilled.
