I think after that performance Grant's going to be worried if he wasn't already. He isn't going to walk away, he has no reason to. There'll be an update on the takeover this week hopefully, believe me, they won't keep him. But as to whether or not he'll be here in the mean time, prepare to be disappointed.
they didn't sack him when he got 6 points out of 60, they must be delighted he's got 6 points out of 30
Absolutely hurtling towards relegation at the moment. I seem to bang this drum every game, but we are so ****ing passive without the ball at home, we drop so ****ing deep and allow teams to get out. Then when we do get the ball we're all behind it so pass it from rb to cb to cb to lb and back again before greaves spanners another diagonal to Wilkes who loses it. Formation is kind of irrelevant to me, ultimately a 433 can be defensive, attacking or I between, its his tactics that **** me off. Risk averse, stand offish and dull, it was only in desperation when down to 10 that we actually pressed high up, were prepared to gamble and throw men forwards, and guess what, it resulted in a goal. He's got to go.
McCann's record in the Championship now stands at 19 wins out of a possible 56. So he's currently at a 34% win rate. Nigel Adkins had two full seasons with the end result being 33%. Phil Brown sits just below him, but he managed most of his games in the Premier League against much tougher opposition. It doesn't make for very pretty reading.
Win rate doesn't give you anything for draws though, and from memory we were very hard to beat under NP and drew away a lot. Under McCann it's not just how little we win but how often we lose games that might've been a draw. Tonight being the exception to the rule, we've lost an incredible amount of games particularly at home under McCann. His home championship record is now W7 D5 L16
OUT OUT OUT OUT....What more evidence do we need that he and his coaches are totally out of their depth in the Championship!!! Unfortunately ALLAMS have to go before he'll be sacked. TRAGIC !!!
So 12 points from the last what, 87(?), available in the Championship? That equates to 19 points, nineteen FFS, over a full season. And the Easter Island Statues still have a job? You couldn't make this **** up. And they were fired by Peterborough after not winning for 7 matches. Regardless of the ownership situation and being under whatever restrictions they are working with, the record means they should be down the road. Get rid, now.
I make it 13 wins but that's just the league and at the end of the day that's what matters most - 13 wins out of 56 games - no idea where you get 19 from, that's just wishful thinking unless you're counting 3 draws as a win - i wonder how many more games we will play before he records his 14th win - answers on a postcard
We have a handful of good players, we also have a handful of good prospects learning on the job and we have 2 handfuls of lge 1 players who are not up to it. Throw in Terry's tactics and whilst results are dreadful, this is also one of the most boring teams I've ever watched wearing a City shirt, thanks Terry, and thanks Ehab for sticking with this head coach. The number of empty seats around me last night applied the apathy around the club. If either or both are still around come December we'll be back in lge. 1 come May next year
i meant the last year we were in the championship, we didnt get too 54 points so didnt win 18 that season
The record in his last 30 championship games is dire. Yes there's mitigation as far as playing budget is concerned but a draw in a must win where we only bothered their keeper in the last 10 mins after changes were forced due to a sending off doesn't paper over the cracks for me. I stand by him needing 4 points from this week's 2 home games to buy himself more time. That means Saturday is now a must win for me to change my mind that he should go.
Everything will be ok after the international break when did I hear that before from GM. I hate saying it but **** it! maybe the best result last night was not getting that late equaliser, it might have saved his bacon no matter the result on Saturday.
