Great result, perfect response from the team. Massive congratulations to those that braved the weather and made the journey. Your voice and spirit created a great atmosphere on the commentary.
Just what the Dr ordered (if you could see him ). We needed that result. Puts us a little nearer the mix and a few days rest until the weekend for the whole team and management. Well done everyone (and all who braved the weather too!!).
I think we did, although it was scrappy I thought it showed another side to us. I like it that we can do that. We need that side to us, especially in this league.
On the train home, drenched but happy. A comfortable win against a poor Birmingham side. We should have won by more really.
Yep. I think we're in the taxi tonight with Holloway's not so good looking lady. They were poor. We were OK. Chair was v good and got what he deserved. Pleased with the clean sheet. Charlie or Uncs scoring would have been the cream on the cake but maybe another time.
3 points, clean sheet, winning with missing players, you can't ask for more than that. Next up those horrible anti-football c*nts from Preston...
Great result, very untidy 1st 15/20mins then clicked that it was a football match, which coincided with the quick fast passing and moving that we have enjoyed so much this season(WBA an exception due to set up). Wasn't sure of the Austin/Dykes experiment personally didn't see what value the brought, and bizarre shift in team for 2nd lot of subs when Willock, playing out of his normal position had taken most of 1st half to try and get involved in any attacking play but then really sussed his position for another shared MOM display along with Chair/Ball and Dickie. Surely would have made much more sense to play Adomah off Austin\Dykes and left Gray on the bench, or Adomah off Gray and left the rest the same, however 2-0 so irrelevant, overall a good solid performance. Just to add looking at fixture list October was the month of knowledge, expected nothing from Bournemouth and WBA away of which we were unlucky, and 3pts against Bristol City and that was just football,Reading away big mistakes but got a point. Oct will show how good/average we are, I am still going for play offs
Was gonna say ...a win and a clean sheet without 5 first team starters. Field, Wallace, McCallum, DeWisj and Johansen... Take that any day..
All of that would've been sooper mate, but it was all about the three points tonight. To be honest I would've taken a point. The clean sheet was an excellent bonus. Onwards and upwards ... U Rsss. What a great result following the debacle against West Brom. From low to high, that's what following this club does to you. I hope you have a great evening Naz.
Boy we needed those 3 points. Not a stellar performance , good in patches but far too frugal with the ball. Chair was superb tonight and Willock , Dickie and Barbet were all very good. Front 3 were very poor tonight and Gray looked like a child learning the game. Ball and Dunne had shockers and we were fortunate not to be punished. Birmingham looked a very ordinary side short on confidence but I'm glad they were. Dozell did OK first half but was knackered by start of the 2nd which is worrying. Amos ran around alot when he came on but did very little. Hopefully confidence will be high again and we can pick up 3 more points against Preston before heading into the International break. We will need them for sure, Fulham away straight after the break when half our team won't be fit but hopefully some will return from injury.
