I don't think its going to be the bomb dropping, action packed experience some are thinking it will be. I think its probably going to be a stream of a zoom call between the panel and the legal teams of each side. Points of law mentioned, arguments from either side heard and that's it for at least a few weeks.
It'll result in all the usual tantrums from many either way. The people that spent months claiming it was all fake simply jumped to saying its off despite all the evidence and they'll keep crying because they can't handle it tomorrow and beyond. It's not off its still in the balance and I don't understand why they're claiming otherwise
From the sound of the arguments the potential best case for the PL is that they retain complete control and can continue as they are. Worst case is that this indicates that clubs can operate outside the PL rules on disputes and this has seismic implications for the governance of all sport.
Indeed. Even if CAT gets the go ahead, the PL won't just then announce a takeover - we'll be stuck in the same purgatory up to the CAT date itself. Even then CAT is about stopping Mike from selling the club and the potential financial implications. The issue of arbitration and separation would potentially still need to happen. Wish Daniel Ek was a ****ing Toon fan.
If the Premier League lose wouldnt that be the equivalent of me wanting to rent a house with 6 other people. The 6 others dont want me to move in. I sue the 6 others, win, and they are forced to let me in. Will I not be risking finding razor blades in my soap and glass in my porridge?
Not when they can no longer afford to pay the same amount of rent you have offered, making up for the new rent rates means they can't afford the same amount of food in the fridge and cupboards and can't afford nights out. Meaning you become Billy Big Bollox as you pay for nights out and extra food they can eat if their nice to you.
What time is kick off tomorrow? Anyone got a decent live stream link? Think we need a match day thread for this one
Courts and judges, they like to give their decision in writing so that everyone knows the legal arguments they considered; and if they produced that tomorrow then there’d be a complaint that the decision had already been reached without hearing from the parties - so I think a 2+ week delay to hear the decision is likely
Yes, but we’ll be in the house, we can smear our excrement on the walls and eat their named food from the fridge.
