Well I half agree with you now. I agree it’s the worst Tory government but not the worst option, I would also go as far as to say the choice of MP’s available at the moment are probably the worst in our history <ok>

Supporting Blair was an exception. Sky, the Sun, the Times (Don’t like Boris mind), Torygraph, Mail, Express. All Tory supporters.
    Guardian centre left, Mirror labour.
Channel 4 definitely critical of govt but nothing party centric.
ITN news and BBC is say try to be balanced but the BBC weren’t fans of Corbyn.
    Independent what it says.
    Hardly well balanced.

I’d have agreed with you even 5 years ago but it isn’t that now. Changed during Corbyn times and added pressure on them since the election especially from Gove who wants to own the media and stop people even discussing other political concepts.

What I was saying though is all those papers I think are owned by the same owners yet they all ( virtually ) all backed Blair, so it’s the Labour Party that’s changed for the worse nothing else.

I'm not saying that there aren't Tories who have made stupid comments. Rayner was just the latest in a long list of people in Parliament who undermine confidence in themselves. I thought her justification of her comments by saying "that's what you'd hear in a northern town" was condescending and disrespectful too, as if there aren't thousands of people from northern towns who would know how to behave properly in public office. Plus, "northern", isn't she from Liverpool, which is in the Midlands? <laugh>
As for Chancellors, Sunak worked for some big banking groups, so at least he has a financial background. Unlike Williamson who sold fireplaces yet was put in charge of education.
I believe the political stance of the BBC consistently comes out as left of centre in the reports of those monitoring think tanks that record such things.
Edit: here's an interesting article on it

Interesting article that cheers. Perceptions of bias in both sides. I wonder how much is criticism of whichever government is in power. It’s a really healthy part of democracy that politicians are criticised pushed and questioned and that’s inevitably more against those with the reigns. The mail or mirror options of undying loyalty are not healthy at all. The printed media has too many too loyal and I think Sky has a bias. I’m not too worried about other broadcast media sources, including the BBC.I’m not a fan of Corbyn’s old school ideological intransigence so was never a fan, but I did think that considering the blatant racism of Johnson the repetition of the phrase anti semitism was bizarre. Anti semitism does exist in the far left and far right for sure and the Zion conspiracy is an issue for Labour - no denying - but in the context of post Brexit anti European xenophobia and Johnson’s letter box and low black IQ comments it’s wrong it got such a foothold. Maybe also down to Labours poor media messaging.

Yeah but Blair smartly, maybe slightly unethically slightly played them. They supported him just once. History says they support the Tories. You can’t say that one exception makes it different. I know what you’re saying - the rest should do what Blair did - but argue he needed to do more for financial equality then he did and as electors we should be allowed a different option without it being miscommunicated.

More trouble at the Inn. This time because he believes in a minimum wage of £15 an hour.

What planet do these Labour politicians live on? The party are better off without politicians like him, tbh. Well done, Kier Starmer <applause>

In his letter, the MP claimed his position was "untenable" after the leader's office instructed him go to a meeting at Labour's party conference and "argue against a national minimum wage of £15 an hour and against statutory sick pay at the living wage".

You believe that any politician understands your life?
There’s only degrees of them not understanding your life and then on top of that degrees of not giving a **** about it anyway.
Old two jags Lord Prescott is a great example of this and politics is absolutely rife with people like him and worse.
Doesn’t matter what side you sit politically. Politicians cannot be trusted they are only in it to line their own pockets and their mates that will provide them with a bolt hole once the **** hits the fan and they are chucked out.
