I see there's a whole day and night of Clint Eastwood films and a documentary on Channel 5. I was wondering if sadly he had passed away but it appears not.

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly is on tonight.

He was never a great actor but I liked most of the films he was in.

    Great director though.

Spaghetti Westerns were great though haven't watched one for a long time. Ennio Morricone's soundtracks great too. Fields of the Nephilim did a cover of one of his tunes and pretty much got their image from those films.

Two Mules for sister Sarah Is on right now.

Bit harsh on Clint's acting chops there Drew. He was excellent in Unforgiven for example. Paint your wagon he was sublime and let's not forget Kelly's heroes!

His directing has been pretty much fantastic though. He made some wonderful films. Letters from Iwo Jima and flags of our fathers being the pinnacle.

Gran Torino is a particular fave of mine. Dirty Harry will always stand the test of time. And Million Dollar Baby deserved its many plaudits.

Clint is a class act. A true legend.

What was the one where he was driving around with a monkey? Thinking the monkey was called Clyde but it wasn't Blondie and Clyde.

Every Which Way But Loose, I think

If I remember correctly, the orangutan used in the sequel was beaten to death by its handlers for stealing doughnuts on set. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

Don't think I'd try dog or cat. No logic to it, just too familiar with them as pets.
