Mate, without wanting to get involved in your personal argument - he hasn’t said anything too bad. Nothing overly rude or offensive…… For whatever reason you’ve taken it personally but honestly you would hear things 1000x worse amongst mates in the local boozer
I ran a pub, I don't mind people swearing or other ****, hell I do it all the time. I just don't like people speaking to me like I'm a ****, that's all. It doesn't happen in real life, it ain't happening here.
But how did he speak to you like a ****?? Maybe I’ve missed something, but I didn’t see anything offensive Just someone questioning the potential sale - something ALL of us have done over the last 7 years……
It does happen in real life every day that people disagree with with you you either except it or state your point of view.
Except we've explained the point of view, you just seem unable to accept it and keep trying to tell us we're wrong for an arbitrary reason of 'takeovers have failed before'.
You probably need to be closer to home to understand how we are feeling at the moment and how a lot of us won’t believe it till we see it signed and sealed.
Guys...I completely understand why people may not believe what I or others say, or that they may roll their eyes and say it's all been said before. Trust me.... I won't fully believe it is going to happen until I see them on the pitch with the scarf and its all official etc. I only pass on what I know/get told and or see myself. I don't expect all to believe or vice versa. The only thing I can really say that I feel is different this time as opposed to the other times we have heard of interest etc. Is that there is genuine willingness and want from the Allam family to get it all done. Add that to the want and willingness by the buying party and it may just be enough this time. The ball is well and truly in the buyers court ATM and if they come up with the funds then I feel we will have new owners in early to mid Nov. ( That date is my own personal guess based on where the deal is etc and nothing from the parties involved )
Yeah, I don't mind if you disagree, spice of life and all that. I'll wager most on here would disagree with a lot of my views on everything (most already have, actually). That's never, ever going to be an issue. Calling me "****ing naive" and then arguing actual evidence with "look what happened last time", when it's pretty well established that there's a takeover going on? Behave.
I apologise for calling you naive that was probably a bit harsh. We are all frustrated at the moment.
I completely agree. We can never know exactly what's being said in the board room, I'm only drip fed little bits and bobs and I don't share all of it (partly because you've covered most of it but mostly because I'm in a little bit less of a position to share stuff based on who it is coming from), but what I do share I expect people to make their own minds up on, there's no expectation of belief or sacrosanct. At the end of the day, it's looking like this is going to happen. Could that change tomorrow? Yep, absolutely, any sale can (and has). We can only hope it's going to go through and we see new owners and a bit of fresh air into the club. We need it. These guys are the real deal, there's a genuine willingness to buy, really the only thing that could **** this up...is...er... The Allams.
