Match Day Thread Brentford v Liverpool

1 Sub again. Sometimes you need to gamble that your bench can make a difference.

 

The defending was absolutely rubbish from Matip primarily and Mane for not helping Robertson on the overloads simple hoofs to the backpost and goal. I am also shocked as to why Alisson didnt come for any of those deep crosses. Anyway we move ****ed uo my weekend after a great start.

What you struggling with

 

Well done brentford. Never gave up stuff rather than much quality.

Liverpool proved utterly bereft at defending deep crosses. Not one midfielder got it into their head trent was overloaded twice or three times and tracked nobody.

We still scored 3 despite being fairly ****.

Brentford fans in heaven which is of course great to see.

 

Deffo getting drunk now, off to lidl to stock up.

 

Our midfield juat didn’t know how to defend. Brentford just play long ball into Toney (abs fair play to them cos he won everything) but we needed fab or Hendo to get around and help out. Go and stand next to him to make it 2v1 and at least give yourself a chance of wining second ball.

Juat did it all game, ball into a Toney, win a header and Brentford win the second ball.

Poor man management on the pitch there. Used to feel super confident we never conceded from crosses 2 years ago but team were a shambles from them today. Not sure what happened. TAA was overloaded for the 2nd and 3rd goal.

It was obvious what was coming with the overloads but leaving Trent on his own was criminal absolutely criminal

Would still like to see that third goal again. Looked like guy was offside. Probably wasn’t given it wasn’t given as offside but would like to see how much he’s on by.

 

He was one against three for one of their goals. Our defending was bad all round - even Alisson had a poor game, slow off his line so often.

 

Really not sure any of our team earned their wages today . The defence including Allison were woeful but the rest were not much better . The irritating thing is if Salah just slots the ball home we almost certainly win and possibly from that point comfortably .

 

Definitely onside imo

 

I don't like that strip, btw - though I do think it's noble of us to try and save the planet by recycling yellow dusters.

Well we didn’t match Chelsea’s result or score and Salah scored away. So that’s 2 myths debunked. Now all we have to do is fix everything else. Weird game for fir is that.
