Just another game out of 46 in a season Ron. If they want to look upon it as their Cup Final well who am I to argue.............
I thought I'd lump all of this in one place OK not in the correct order but it makes a great read Please keep them coming Saff
Some promising news for the Derby fans, staff and players Derby administators reveal stance on Wayne Rooney and his squad (msn.com)
I see Derby are appealing against their 12 pts deduction saying it wasn't their fault it was Covids fault. I must have missed something have the other 91 clubs gone into administration because of Covid, what a load of b******s it's laughable
Also if Derby get their points reinstated, then National League Dover will also want all their points reinstated and the fine that was paid reimbursed, all happened because of covid.
So will that mean that every club in the EFL can go into Administration, every club must have lost money.
Wycombe Wanderers' owner Rob Couhig has confirmed their laywers have hit Derby County's administrators with a bill following their relegation from the Championship. The League One side are claiming that Derby should have been relegated last season due to FFP breaches which, had a points penalty been imposed, would have seen them survive relegation at the expense of the Rams. The Sun claims the bill is for the sum of around £6m which is the difference in TV money between the Championship and League One.
Best of luck with that, surely the EFL should be paying as well it's their decision making that is not fit for purpose
I really can’t see anything coming from this. However hats off to the Couhigs for publicly showing that Derby were wrong. Let’s stick up for the little man.
Just read an article in The Telegraph that says the Derby Administrators will accept a 21 point penalty with another 3 suspended, will Rooney walk away i wonder?
Yep and if the don't pay the next instalment of the transfer fee they owe Arsenal the suspended 3 points will be added as well so 24 points in total, serves them right as the owner knew full well he was breaking lots of rules.
And he broke them to avoid relegation. All he has done is prolong the inevitable, unfortunately at our cost; Still it only cost us £15m-£20m. And I don't think that takes account of the fact that staying in the Championship for another season results in a larger umbrella payment............................ or does it?
Derby have today been hit with another 9 point deduction so minus 21 for the season as it takes effect from today, serves the cheating bastards right and i imagine Rooney will walk away.
The thing is about all this it didn't only affect us it has to be rembered that Rotherham only finished 2pts behind & Sheff Wed 3 pts behind who knows what would have happened
3 teams get relegated so it wouldn't have made any difference to the teams that finished bottom and bottom but 1
