Now if this was Millwall, I'd be laughing my head off. Norwich for Col no doubt! Feel sorry for the fans. Would not wish this on Derby. After all, we're grateful to them for the greatest day in recent QPR history!
This is a post from Clive on LFW, I'm sure he won't mind the C & P, a link to the thread is below, interesting reading following an interview that Derby owner Mel Morris gave to Radio Derby today...... Morris gave an interview to Radio Derby today in which he confirmed that the three sets of accounts they've got to refile, but still haven't, despite an August deadline, will breach the FFP regulations leaving them facing a further points deduction on top of the 12+9 they're already getting. Not unrealistic that Derby get docked north of 30 points this season. Link......https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/forum/273617/page:8/#198
Actually, mate, I don't wish that on any club (Chelsea possibly!!). There but for the grace of God and all that. I am however, thoroughly loving Norwich not getting a single point from their games this season.
I meant I don't wish it on any fans, as clubs know what will happen when they break these rules. Of course, it should apply to Citeh and Co as well!!
I see that Wycombe are considering legal action. Seems WRDC owner Mel Morris' has admitted the club would have risked a points deduction if it submitted accounts for 2017-18 without the club's controversial amortisation method. A disgrace if the EFL let’s them get away with it. Could have been a defining season for Wycombe to improve and be a lower level Championship club and begin to build from there. All taken away from them by greed and deceitfulness.
I have also read that Morris's holding company have completely paid of all debts on pride park. ( Certainly looking after his own interests and not those of the club). They completely own it. That means the new owners will have rent the stadium off Morris to play. I do not think they own their training ground either... Compare and contrast...and then thank our lucky stars for Lee Hoos and our owners ( who saw the light before they went too far down the rabbit hole)
Well agree with most of that, but Wycombe still came lower than Derby in the table based on football results, so all was taken away from them by greed, deceipt and not being a good enough football team either.
I will say that our owners have had a sense of responsibility over the club, after the errors of their ways. I thank them for that but not for getting us in this situation to begin with.
Derby Administration confirmed, 12 point deduction, now bottom of table on -2 points...... This is only the beginning.......
So they are even being complete $h!sters as they are taken down. Clearly going into admin now as the points hit is irrelevant given what's coming for the accounts. Reducing their debts, by screwing over a bunch of local businesses in the process, helping to make a sale more attractive. Essentially using a punishment for bad behaviour as an excuse for more poor behaviour. They really should get some of their points hit next year.
I think its far far worse than that. Transfer of ownership of the ground to protect the asset. It's actually borderline fraud what this owner has done and he is looking for pity and blaming Covid.
