The current Labour party MP's are perennial losers who have an uncanny knack of always being able to piss off large swathes of the British public. The moment that momentum took hold was the death knell for that party.

Now it's associated with ultra left wing, student, hippy types and we the working class don't recognise ourselves in that. Look at the state of these clowns. Have some more equality rammed down your throat. Vote Labour.

There's good and bad in everyone and Johnson is no different, he's made good and bad decisions.

Those who slavishly, and automatically, defend him do their argument little use imo.

Surely people in transit could have been easily dealt with, I the uncontrolled traffic back and forth from the Indian sub continent was lunacy.

Those who automatically attack him just because he's a Tory do the same for their own argument in my opinion. I believe that the tribalism within politics is what holds true progress back. And its now our own MPs fuelling that. Pidcock's "I could never be friends with a Tory" is truly infantile. She's not the only one that I think is wholly unsuited to parliament though. There are plenty that are pathetic in all of the parties. Gavin Williamson being one of the worst. I used to think that most MPs who reached the cabinet or shadow cabinet, whether I agreed with them or not, had at least some degree of gravitas. There are very few now that I feel I can have much respect for.

The strength of a government (IMO) is based on the strength of the opposition....sadly these days we don't have an effective opposition so people like Johnson, Gove, Patel et al...just get away scott free and are not brought to account. Politics is at an all time low not just in the UK

I totally agree mate, it's a strange one, people are so entrenched and fanatical it's scary.

There are some who seem to worship 'Boris' without paying too much attention to his policies, politics or whatever.

They like the character he puts forward and some people do like a character ...

... once they've declared their admiration they can't question their hero without admitting their judgement was flawed.

The cult of personality is all pervading in our society now. If you go back 150 years, men were lauded because they'd sailed to the Antarctic or created great works of art or built enormous edifices. Now all people have to do is something 'outrageous' on reality TV.
That transfers into politics it would seem and people become attracted by the personality rather than the policies.

Anyone voting Tory in the north east at the next election is a ****.

A party of inept arseholes out to line their own pockets at the expense of normal people. Child poverty is on the increase with these twats in charge.

Is it OK if we do it in the south east though? Cos we're all stockbrokers down here and live in mansions. And, after all, its where all Tories are from isn't it?

Do do you think he’s doing good for the country? Pull the other one. The blokes a ****ing buffoon who couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery. The only reason people don’t think he’s ****e is because he’s surrounded himself with people ten times worse than him.

in any other time allowing over 100,000 people to die whilst not giving a **** would see the tosser in prison.

brexit, care home COVID scandal, corruption. I could go on. Anyone thinking he has been good for this country needs to give their heads a long hard ****ing shake.

Spot on this. I thought Starmer was going to be the man to challenge the Cabbage Patch Kid, but it appears he is a bit of a wet wipe

The best chance Labour have had was when David Miliband ran for the leadership and instead the unions forced through his moron brother Ed.....The Labour Party has not been fit for purpose since then. I am a socialist at heart, but my heart and brain couldn't vote for them right now

I think that you are quitr right and it was rather a case of the majority of Voters finding the Tory Party LESS FRIGHTENING that the alternative, rather than supporting them.

And when you consider that the Tory Party had been in power for over nine years, with Liberal help initialy, then they SHOULD have been easy pickings.

All the evidence, going back to Hugh Gaitskell and Clause 1V, onwards, shows that The Great British Public has failed to support Ultra Left Wing policies, even when they were proposed by someone as patently honest and well meaning as Michael Foot.
The public would though happily vote for the Left of Centre policies of Harol Wilson or even the cenreist Tomy Blair.

But it seems that The Labour Party is, or hopefully HAS BEEN, under the control of Fanatical Left Wing activists.

Sadly I see Boris and his ilk in charge for a while.

On the bright side, he did keep his promise and got us out of Europe, and for that I'm happy.
