Think they need one quick for this year they won't finish as high in constructors championship as they did last year, I think
I totally blame Whitmarsh.... Or his doppelganger.... It's not him. It's a bit like when they secretly replaced Paul McCartney in the Beatles when he was killed in a car accident. ( btw...if you've never read about that conspiracy, go read it. As far as conspiracy theories go, that's up there with the best. )
Question, would you rather Whitmarsh vs Horner? I don't have the downer on Whitmarsh that many seem to have. He left during a period of change, Ron Dennis returning (what did he achieve on his return?) was part of the reason for Whitmarsh leaving. Eric Boullier was hardly the success he was expected to be, offering out Freddo bars. Ron and Eric destroyed the team morale. You can't blame Whitmarsh for the demise that came to be of Mclaren. Mclaren placing the blame on Honda in the years that followed was wrong, F1 treated Honda badly. Bernie was over charging for F1 rather than looking at other sustainable options. I just think Whitmarsh was a casualty more than a villian. There were many who deserved the villian title more than Whitmarsh.
I've got nothing against Whitmarsh at all. I quite like the bloke. But he's been replaced by a facsimile. Ron done him in years ago and he's under the patio of the south break room at MTC. I blame Whitmarsh for that too.
Apparently Paul wrote 'I am the Walrus' because he was sick of weirdos looking for hidden meanings in their songs (Charles Manson being the most famous example) that he wanted to see what they made of it.
It seems so unfair that a rookie that won the Renault Eurocup in 2019, F3 in 2020, and almost certainly F2 this year is going to be without a drive next year. Piastri is in Alpines young driver academy but with nowhere to go, unless they can sneak him into Alfa, which is incredibly unlikely.
Longer term news on engine plans, sounds like Audi and Porsche might enter/return as engine suppliers?
