This programme has been brilliantly funny for decades, with different captains and one constant . . . . the fantastic Sue Barker, who was prefect for her role.

I missed the first 2 (having forgotten about it) but I watched episode 3 (that I recorded whenever it was on (probably last Friday) of the new series last night with my son, and I've now deleted the 'series link' 'cos it's absolutely dreadful :emoticon-0101-sadsm

The talentless Paddy McGuinness is as funny as Ian Dowie is pretty, Sam Quek, though she's absolutely gorgeous (the only reason that she's on it), is as suited to the programme as Adam Johnson or Gylfi Sigurdsson are to working in a junior school, and the other captain (I've got no idea who he is) is there for whatever reason, but he's as funny/suited to a comedy programme as Will Grigg was to S.A.F.C. as a footballer.

Apart from not being funny, this previously great show is so stupidly choreographed now (much like 'A League of Their Own') that it's 100% unwatchable, which is so sad for a programme that has been essential viewing for decades . . . . what a waste of a blinking good idea

The problem with these programmes, QOS, Top Gear, etc, is that the presenters have plenty of 'front' but very little depth.

People like Crouch have so little talent it looks threadbare when it's stretched out ...

... it reminds me of Frank Bruno repeating his daft catchphrase for years and doing his pantomime laugh.

I want to see talented people, not 'characters' with irritating quirks

I want it to go back to sporting questions and knowledge not keepie ups with a water balloon or other 'fun' party games.

I wanted to put something on here about QOS a few weeks ago, but sometimes you can be questioned about your ethics surrounding Equality and Diversity etc.

Like you GA, I am disapointed with the new line up, and the direction, and of the format.

It seems to me that if we don't include a full compliment of all cultures, colours and creeds, then we are discriminating.

I am not a racist in anyway whatsoever, however, although I realise things change and evolve, QOS and Football Focus etc, feel the need to rubber stamp a salute to thier inclusion of that 'Equality Mixture' of opportunities across, age, sex, skin colour and culture.

Some shows are now simply unrecognisable, and look piss-poor as a direct result.

BBC is now too woke and going backwards, with Lineker king woker and a period drama that made a mockery of history, pleased Sunderland stopped taking the knee which they did on Saturday

not watched it forever if honest but hardly missed it when i was younger...the fun came from the format and the banter, the 'home and away' round always put a bit pressure on the captains and, along with 'what happened next', was the highlight of the show.

only seen a few stills from the new programme and even they do not look right, or maybe i am stuck in my ways too much now.

My wife has never really been in to sport had the programme recording series linked and used to thoroughly enjoy the show which was an excellent watch . The three that brought the show to a close? Sue Barker , Tuffers , and Matt Dawson had an excellent rapport and everyone enjoyed their antics which were really funny though competitive . Along came the politically correct brigade who wanted a different balance in all manner of ways and ruined a very good show . I believe I read somewhere that SB , Tuffers , MD , were going to take the show on tour around the country which I am sure will irk the BBC but I am sure if they did and it came to Sunderland we would go even though we have now stopped watching the show which is so bland now .

    Emlyn Hughes/Bill Beaumont
    Ian Botham/Willie Carson
    Ally McCoist/John Parrot
    Matt Dawson/Phil Tufnell

These two now will not have the same rapport as the naturally funny combinations above.

To be honest I thought it was going down hill a couple of years ago and I've barely watched it since. It's become a bit tired, tries too hard to be "funny" and too self satisfied. If it stuck to what it was, it would be fine, but it's become a bit smug, self congratulatory and complacent. When the viewing figures go down, instead of going back to what made it popular and successful before, they'll just change the presenters and think everything will be fine

Last nights edition of News Night, was more depressing than The North Water, never mind A Question of Sport.
