On paper yes, but whether they can make it work we'll have to see. What would bother me if I was one of their fans is the turnaround of big names. They go for high-profile players but a disconcerting number of them seem to fade quickly. The merry-go-round of players and managers at that club is dizzying.
look, its all opinion. The LFC first 11 is "sorted" you know exactly what you get. 433. every player knows their role. the Cheslea 11, not so much. so no its not a better first 11. christensen is in right now and always has an error in him. james is not that good, mendy is a shot stopper but a bit of a loose cannon. the midfield duo are not all that good when pressured jorginho is a ball players. hassle him and they ca be got at. then they simply don't know which f the massively overpriced forwards to play do they? For squad? frankly they have options all over and are stacked with mega expensive forwards. When you look at our squad its got enough but just enough to get by. the difference is havertz lukcy and werner are **** they just send on mount, ziyech, pulisic etc etc etc. cheslea have no excuse not to be in the title race but their owner will sack tuchel at the end of the season anyway so who knows what they will do next. thats why man city have ben more successful than them over past 10 years, same massive money but more continuity.

Honestly, for once I think the relative odds are pretty fair. Early days yet, I think our first XI is better than Chelsea's, but they have more depth which to me puts them as better contenders than us across a whole season.
If our best - 15 say, stay fit then we're a match for them. Too many injuries and the quality further down the line drops off - not to disastrous levels, but not up to theirs.
Cheslea at 5/1 was great value. Man utd at 5/1 isn't quite as good a value but they have all the players needed to win this thing.

Chelsea's odds keep dropping. Not sure if the can last the season or not, but they certainly have to be amongst the favourites. United are over relying on rape-boy to keep them in games. If he gets arrested this season they'll be in trouble. (Or injured, or jaded from over use). Never count out City... They had a bad start last year too... And they can always buy their way out of trouble in January.
