Great win, under pressure most of the 2nd half......but we did look better IMO than against Luton....

I wasn’t in my bedroom today - out in town with my son and his GF.
Stats would suggest this was an incredible ‘smash and grab’ though - what good fortune!!!!

I'm starting to warm up to Massengo and his contribution to the game has improved greatly during his time with Bristol City. As we clearly witnessed today we struggle at the back when our opposition are throwing everything at us and despite having 8 around the penalty we still fall afoul of crosses and defend poorly and need a lot of luck, and Dan Bentley, to survive the onslaught. All in all an away point is satisfactory but 3 is even better especially when you consider there were times today when we looked to be struggling to keep the game under control. Now we need to change our fortunes at home to back up our good form and luck during our travels.

If we don’t get him signed up soon, I can see him going this season.

He does so much at the back, his timing, breaking up play, getting a foot in has improved no end. His energy is immense and his vision to pick passes is starting to kick in..

I think if you look at it again we had enough players in the box to deal with Atkinson's headed clearance but too many of them were ball watching and never reacted.

Bentley was impeccable today, Weimann with 2 great assists for 2 great goals. I would say all 3 subs staked a claim for a start in the next game. Massengo was excellent again, Bakinson played well his short pass radar was a bit off but his long passing was really good, Tanner looked good.

QPR are a very good side indeed but just like Luton in midweek proved that if you do not take your chances from 26 shots, 11 on target + 4 clear cut chances, you probably won't win, I remember several years ago clipitty Klopp bitching about how many times Liverpool hit the post or bar in games but football at it's core is a very simple game the team that scores the most goals win and today we scored 2 goals and took both of the 2 good chances we carved out, both were good finishes but Martin's in particular was a great finish.

I would have like to have seen a higher press to take pressure off of the defence but having said that QPR were very good at passing through us with 2 very good midfielders in Chair and Johanson, both quality, but they will concede goals.

    A great gutsy performance.

He’ll go, we need the money and can’t give him enough wages either, enjoy him while you can.

I think you’re right, he will get snapped up.. shame, as those sort of players we should be looking to hold on if we are trying to progress..
losing our key players, where have we heard that before!

Mainly from you. How do you suggest that we hold onto them? It's life and you must know it is.

The reality is it's impossible to hold onto players if they get an offer to play at a higher level, it would even be impossible if we were at that higher level ourselves, if bigger club with more resources or playing European football came in.

We lost a 14 year old to Chelsea just a couple of weeks ago.

I actually liked our set up last 15-20 mins, we seem to flow better and nice to see Semenyo driving at defenders causing panic..
yes we found space when QPR piled on the pressure, we looked good on the break..
So we have about the right setup playing away, just need the right one for at home..
high press, intense pressure, giving no time for the opposition to settle.. I believe we have the players..
