It's only been a few games but already it appears that we are more defensively solid this season which is a good base to start from. If we can become more ruthless at the other end then this could be a very good season for us.
F365 had an article on “pointless signings” in the week. That site is really going down the toilet in terms of quality they listed lyanco just because he hasn’t started yet and seemed unaware that without him we would have 3 CBs for the whole season pretty sure the same article from this time last season included Salisu. Hopefully they are just as wrong this time
Just seen the penalty incident for the first time…. Frustrating the way it played out but if that had been given against us we’d have been screaming about big club bias the other way. No penalty for me.
Watched the season incident a few times now and I take this back. Armstrong body language shows him lining up to shoot and then Walker comes in and brings him down. It looks like from a certain point that Armstrong is going down before Walker cuts him off, but I think his balance is thrown off by Walker before.
The important thing to bear in mind about the penalty incident is that it would have been given against City, and it's a well-known fact that all City players are beyond reproach, so would never stoop so low as to foul anyone. At least that what it appears to say in the PGMOL handbook...
Had a look at the highlights and it was a great point. Defensively Saints made it hard for City. I think City only got through twice. It wasn't a penalty. Armstrong looked like he was already heading down when he was touched. If he stayed upright I think it wouldn't have been overturned. Saints are looking very impressive this season. All that is missing is a win but that is undefeated in 4 and just 2 goals conceded. 3 of those 4 finished in the top 6 last season.
I hope he takes into account that I am going to this match. Sent an email off to ticket office at full time to say my ticket hadn’t arrived. An hour later it arrived courtesy of next door who brought it round. Postmen who can’t the difference between a 3 and a 4. Doh! Any road up, I’m expecting a solid win on Tuesday. Only been to Bramhall Lane once and we won. No slipping of standards please.
None of them scored so I doubt it. His footballing knowledge doesn't extend too far beyond the question who scored this week.
If there is a Saints player; they will be told they should be at a better club, by BBC's inhouse extreme irritant.
