Before we celebrate, let's remember that VAR is there behind the scenes trying to find a reason to disallow it.
How was Rose not booked for that attack on Max? Took him out cynically from behind. Loving watching Sargent.
Everyone seems to agree that it isn't quite working for Gilmour so far this season. Before it was argued it was because he was having to play a DM role which didn't suit him. But now that's not true. So anyone suggest reasons why?
Another question. Can anyone suggest a reason why, when one team is fouling again and again, once the other team fouls once, they get the yellow. Is it because Team A is just much better at cynical fouling?
I thought the whole point of VAR, the only rationale it has for destroying the joy of celebrating a goal, was that it corrects obviously erroneous decisions on the part of the ref. It worked in the Euros because the football authorities are committed to it and wanted to make sure it worked, but it is just as **** as ever in the Prem.
How is that not a penalty? Gilmour also challenged late in the build up. And how was it not a foul on Aarons before hand.
I read somewhere that they had committed the most fouls of any team in the Prem during the first four games. No surprise there, then.
FFS. Left back position still our weakness, excellent finish. Against the run of play, unjust VAR, always the same story.
