Moncur needs to buck his ideas up. He was bloody awful today and probably the worst player on the pitch.

Agree with this, and it was obviously going to be an issue. People were so happy to accept us losing Burke for nothing because we had some other promising defenders but that was utterly ridiculous. We let go of the only one with any sort of experience at this level and even with him we should've been looking to add more. It's great having a local boy in the team but it's quite obvious that we're getting bullied every week with just these novice centre backs.

We need a takeover urgently so we can finally get rid of this suicidal recruitment strategy.

I knew losing Burke would be a huge loss despite others thinking he wasn’t any better than Alfie and Greaves and below them in the pecking order. Maybe we were always gonna lose Burke when his contract ran out because he wanted to move down south, but even then, we needed someone of equal experience as a replacement and not some kid from Man Utd’s reserves.
