The same could be said about McGeady at times tbh ... ... Gooch always works from start to finish, defends from the front and covers his own full back well. No surprise that Winchester feels happy to push on when he knows Gooch will cover.
See I agree. But once he went off last week, Cirkin was exposed an awful lot. He does that work which I think goes unnoticed very well. been poor going forward other than the first game IMO. But I think his work is what’s getting him through
Yeah, last week Gooch was on the left iirc and Mcgeady on the right. Not there usual places. Perhaps Gooch was there partly to help Cirkin out? Whereas Winiesta needs less help?
I don't know why ppl have a downer on Gooch, I think he's a vital part of the team. His decision making should be better but I've seen him in all the home games and is always involved in the game. I think LJ thinks the same way. Imo.
