Probably not, but I doubt he shares the opinions of the spanners who, after 18 months enforced absence, have returned to sit behind me to my left. They reminded me why I hate football fans sometimes; he's not even near the ball and they're barking "bloody hell, Redmond, wake up!". ****ers Can we win today please? We're due one...
I understand the calls for Broja to start, but people (not here, but on Twatter) seem to think he’s the second coming based on an admittedly excellent twenty minute cameo. Reading between the Ralph lines though, perhaps his attitude wasn’t quite spot on when he arrived, and just maybe he’s not fit enough yet to start. Also, if you’re going to start a kid for the first time, there are probably kinder ways than against Man City. Still, as Raducanu showed, youth has no fear, so… I’d start him, but to the howls of derision from the millions of expert managers about, I don’t suspect Ralph will.
All eyes will once again be on Ralph's choice of outfit. Most likely he'll opt for some tight-fitting chinos again, but, there's always a chance he'll be wearing baggy trousers.
There’s more effort put into his waistcoat than into his team selection. Edit: don’t worry looking for a song title
A brave move, rocking those chinos. Comparisons with Koeman, who mastered the look as no one else has ever done, become inevitable.
Ralph says that Tino could play right wing, but not yet, which I find frustrating. Redmond and Tino v Grealish will potentially be just Tino v Grealish for long periods of the game. Yet Tino and KWP v Grealish could, IMO, be a winning combination. Be brave Ralph and try it today, if for no other reason than to get KWP back into the team.
No chance Edit: Ralph will go “as is”, try to contain & hopefully nick something at the death. Simples.
Painful isn't it? I can see us eventually trying out the KWP-Tino combination sometime around December, and only because injuries have forced Ralph's hand.
I understand people being excited by Broja because he did look very good in his home PL debut, in a stretched game against a tiring defence. I definitely wouldn’t start him in this one and want to see more from him before making any real decisions on him. He didn’t get many minutes against Newcastle but was completely anonymous when he did come on in that one. All for giving him a chance and a proper go but not away to City where he will most likely have **** all to do apart from attempting to stop City playing out from the back occasionally
