Ideal mate, 20 years time, Vegan will be all the craze, the world will be run by lettuce munching lunatics by then.
Cough, fifteen tops, you lying git. I'm hoping to retire in nine years. That's my target. **** this working till 'retirement age'. I think I've timed it well enough. My Mrs is nine years younger so she can crack on for a few years after me, and I'll play some golf. I've had enough alarms clanging on around me the past couple of years to tell me to not work longer than I need to, I'll get by on what we've got.
2040 mate, according to that pension forecast and I’m hoping to still be fit enough to carry on with some of the work I’m doing. Maybe not out doing the big events and lugging **** around, but definitely in a making capacity. If not, I’ve got a few other ideas up my sleeve, so I doubt I’d have to rely on a state pension alone
I've long since paid up enough NI over time, all I'm doing now is paying into the system. Fair enough of course. I've got a personal pension that would have me work to 65 but I've also got an old local authority one that is really nice which I can start drawing earlier. The idea of retiring early might be fanciful I suppose but i'm not going beyond the current forecast which for me is 65. I don't think they can put that up for people of a certain age! I shouldn't need to either. Not gonna be rich by any means but we'll be mortgage free and have enough, plus the kids shouldn't be a drain by then.
I had an NHS one, but I hadn't paid much into it tbh and cashed it in to start my business. Needs must I suppose. Proper old git conversation though innit
You lot will have carry on working to pay for all of us old ****s living until we're 96 with loads of social care needs. Cheers bru
A decent proportion of the current working population are likely to reach retirement age without owning their own home. That’s a time bomb of cost, right there.
