Imagine being coutinho is 20 years time. Who is going to listen to him about his subs bench medals in germany? Club legend coutinho will never be said about him anywhere. I dont think these players really get this buy do they need it later on? Where will salah retire to?
Why didn't Virgil play, btw? I never watch build-up so I didn't hear the reason - was it just a precaution because he's been out so long?
One thing I've noticed about Salah is that when the team come out looking straight ahead or at the floor, he looks around the stands, takes in the crowd and smiles. He always seems fully aware of his surroundings and appears to enjoy it. He will never get a better sense of belonging than where he is now. I hope the club can give him a great new contract, he has earned it.
Guess would be wanted to give Gomez match time. Didn’t want to start both Gomez and vvd who both returned from long injuries Must admit the way vvd has slotted back in from game 1, made me forget the guy was out for 10 months with serious injury and in 90% of cases you would prob introduce him slowly so would need some rotating. Reckon vvd prob just stroll through that game no issues tbh but guess better to be on safe side. My surprise was Matip starting but if he wanted to play Gomez and didn’t want to play Matip would be risky to start konate. Wonder if konate will play v palace with vvd to give Matip a breather or if go vvd and Matip then konate and Gomez v Norwich in the cup.
It's a shame the scoreline doesnt reflect but seriously, how good was that performance? First half was just electric, old school Klopp style. Second half, was a more measured approach, sustained pressure, the new school Klopp style.
Matip went through some surgery too. There is some work done by the head of conditioning where even Keita is not getting injured. VVD and Konate for Palace would be nice
He seems a right laugh, it’s a shame for his injuries cos on form he’s one of the best in the league. For a freebie was a hell of a signing.
