No idea if I have had it or not, but had the worst flu I have ever had by a long way in January last year. Got worse after getting better 3 times. Had a really bad cough for nearly 3 months afterwards. The symptoms fit but the timing was a bit early, so it was probably just the flu.

I had it from 16 Dec through to early January; it was ****ing horrible. I’d never felt so unwell and so far away from that “I’ll get better feeling”. Fevers were like I was on fire, sheets were soaked as though they’d been run under a shower. Eyes and back hurt. Couldn’t eat. Had vertigo. I remember sitting under a cold running shower unable to then get myself to a bed. Couldn’t **** for a fortnight - felt like I had a stomach full of sewage. I’m not doing it justice, I honestly wondered if I’d ever feel well again.
BUT, it wasn’t cancer, it went eventually, and my lungs were fine so no hospital admissions…. I would not want it ever again, but I do recognise that I wasn’t terminally ill. Unfortunately too many people were precisely that.

There is no way you got it before anyone else - you will probably suffer from it in 2025.

Apparently it was in the country months before then. My wife was ill around about then too. We assumed it wasn't covid at the time cos that would have made her England's patient zero, unlikely. However, in hindsight, it could have been covid.

Anyone here with teenage kids decided whether they are going to allow them to be vaccinated or not? There seems to be a lot of negative info about the possibilities of developing pericarditis and myocarditis from the vaccine. From what I can see from the various statistics males aged 12-19 are 10X more likely to get heart problems of this nature from the disease as they are from the vaccine. While in both cases they mostly recover, it can be a long process. Son of our neighbours in UK got this from the disease and he is still recovering almost 6months later.

Most people I know who have had it say its like you feel after the first vax, ie nasty headache and completely knackered.

Some guy I work with said he also lost his taste and smell, which I cant imagine at all, but he said all food tasted the same and all he could tell was the different texture - lasted for 3 weeks and he said it was pretty ****ed up, but with the plus point that he went on a diet in that time cos healthy foods tasted exactly the same as ****ty stuff.

I was on the Oxford vaccine trial, so tested the vaccine at the outset. Was covid positive 6 months later which I found out via weekly testing. I had no elevated temperature, loss of taste/ smell or respiratory symptoms. Just a couple of days of sneezing.
I know of an ITU presently, where all the covid patients are severely unwell - all are unvaccinated. Those who are very unfit and are vaccinated can get covid severely, but very few do.

The main thing is ACS, you are almost certainly at your age going to be fine if you do get it, vaccinated or not.

That mackem blood in you however...not sure they'll ever have a cure for that so you're doomed.
