Okay .. given the discussions currently going on in various match threads I think it's fair to see what the populas thinks. Those who have read my writings here will know I'm no fan of the man, yes he managed to get us up as champions last year and rightly deserves plaudits for that, however offset that with a record breaking run of nils, and a disastrous last season in the Championship. Fraid I have no confidence in him or his assistant Byrne, summed it up for me last night seeing the clueless wonders sat pondering when it needed action. Fraid I'm securely in the out camp, had enough of his one tactic fits all approach, his dithering on touchline while being outhought by a plethora of managers, and his inability to take responsibility. I'd have put a poll on but being the clueless technology phobe that I am I haven't a clue, perhaps one of the mods could add it, just to get a feeling for how you really feel.
Getting a new manager in will cost, something the Allams likely won't countenance. So I think he'll only go if we get new owners. That's my answer if the question is 'will he go?'. If it's 'should he go' I'd say wait until December, if no improvement then yes he should go.
I think December onwards is enough time for a new manager to salvage a season, but that is entirely dependent on new ownership coming in because Ehab will not pay off someone like McCann and dig into his pocket for a Championship-standard manager.
Ehab's not paying off McCann and his mate 'no-trousers Byrne'. If Allams are shrewd businessmen and they really don't want to invest any further money in City, then now is the time to sell up. A team in Championship is worth more than a team in League 1. Now is the time to go...
Are you replying to me? If so, he hasn’t “just” had 4 months in this league, put it into the bigger picture. He has consistency proven that he isn’t upto managing in this league. What happen after Xmas in 2020 was beyond woeful
He did well last year no problem admitting that but all managers have a level. Perhaps Grants is L1. Nothing wrong with that at all if that’s the case he will always find work. For me he is not a championship or premiership manager and never will be. There was really no point in giving him another shot after he shagged it up so badly the first time.
Yeah was a reply to you Chelsea. I feel the players didn't want to be at the club two years ago and were letting opponents run through the midfield. Now its lack of fitness . Last night was a big improvement on saturday. Lets give him a couple of months
