I'm sure if you turn up at the training ground this morning with your dossier and coaching badges Mister McCann will be delighted to hear your views of how to coach his team. You might need a grown- up with you too. Good luck.

I see what's in front of me matey and there is not a lot I can do about it. But I am realistic, I know our limitations which far out weigh the expectations of some but we are what we are, and it's work in progress. We were not going to steamroll our way out of the Championship at the first attempt and I don't honestly think we've don't that badly so far. No team has hammered us and we are still finding our feet and our best starting eleven.
People also forget, and many don't want to believe it that the club is up for sale, and that process is on going. McCann and his recruitment team/coaching staff are doing the best they can under trying circumstance, which cannot be easy. So I don't see what is to be gained by this constant barrage of criticism against him. So I am chilled and admittedly a bit defensive because it is the club I have supported all of my life.

can you not see why others get so frustrated for the same reasons , nobody is expecting us to steam roll through the division but just have a go at winning games against average teams , there is nobody to be scared of and while points against Bournemouth and swansea are not too be sniffed at , i dont think only having 1 decent atempt at goal against either is much to be celebrated either. i agree, that some go over the top with the negativity , i get sucked in too it at times, but thats often becuase i find the other end of the spectrum to be equally frustrating , those who never see anyting negative at all. truth as always is usually somewhere in the middle

Of course it’s frustrating not to get a couple more wins and to be honest one more win would have left us mid table and looking reasonable. It’s always fine margins in football. As Urika says we haven’t been thrashed by anyone and we have taken points in the last couple of games to stop the losing rot. A win at Blackburn will put a smile on everyone’s face and optimism will take over again. When Terry says it is what it is that’s a real truism. One of Terrys real problems is how he talks to the media. He comes over quite poorly at times and he is repeating the mistakes of the first season. He could learn some lessons from someone like Bruce who famously trotted out bad day at the office quotes etc etc but always managed to defer blame from the players themselves.

Fair comment. Especially the 'I agree that some go over the top with the negativity'.
    Nail on the head.

Wouldn't it be fair to say that you go over the top with the positivity?

Not sure who called Mcann defensive, but I’ve been accused of that by people around me and the odd owner. In my experience it’s by people who know f**k all about my job , my workload or anything that I really do . It’s an easy ignorant criticism in most instances. How dare you

    And another thing !
If our tactics are so rigid why has the Swansea manager said that we high pressed them for the first twenty minutes. We either then changed deliberately or due to player focus - then we were defensive . Sounds like we tried to stop them starting well - good idea - like teams do to us at home . Or if we got lucky or had a break we got a lead to defend . After that maybe we could see we weren’t going to score - that would be a worry .
I remember at Boofry Park we used to attack for 40 minutes then gave up and lost so many times in our bad run

On this points scoring on here at the moment.
Everyone who posts on here and has for a long time are passionate supporters of our club.
I have not missed a game this season but I wouldn’t call myself more passionate about the club then Kempton as in the same way I am not as active as Urika with the club but I don’t deem him as a bigger supporter than myself.
It’s a forum everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I know we did in1980/1981. We drew 2 then lost 7 in a row the last 5 of which we failed to score in. Finally scored and won after 9 games without a win, 1-0 with a goal from Deacy against Plymouth. Won the signed match ball after the game in a raffle in the social club in North Stand.

Remember it well. Was the raffle prize a small bottle of whisky ? We then failed to score in the next three games too. Great season 1980/81. Finished bottom of the old Third Division and relegated for the first time to the Fourth Division. Including an eleven match run with out a win when we only scored four goals. Happy Days. Imagine the fun to be had if we had the Not 606 forum in those days.

Think the ball I won was the main prize. Was it Dave Dewberry who won the whisky?Woman came round with last 2 tickets. Shaun the Mental wanted one as well. Always remember one was 103 so .I said I wanted that one as as 1, 0 and 3 is 4 and 4 is my lucky number. Turned out for once I was right.
Went off to Chalk Lane with Steve B. Rolled up with him at my house well oiled and walked in and plonked the ball on top of the TV.mour lass said you think more about Hull City than me. I said I think more about Sheffield Wednesday. Steve, who shared my opinion of Wednesday, fell about laughing my better half who had known me long enough to know my thoughts on Wednesday glared. So I headed to Botanic with Steve. Selfish behaviour when our lass, who as you know always went to City games, had been stuck at home all day with an 8 month old kid.Years later after Steve had emigrated to South Africa he came over with a girl he had met there. She said when she first met him she thought there was something wrong with him as he would always the day after Tuesday or the day before Thursday as he would not say Wednesday.<laugh>
Just looked up that season. Last game was against Newport. Crowd 2059, which. I think was the lowest ever league crowd up to then and is still second in our lowest league attendances.
