Gunna be an interesting game on Friday besides the pantomime off the pitch it’s a game both sides need to win. I think the distractions will go against Newcastle but I can defo seeing it being a 4-3 classic either way.
Yeah, it's hard to take watching them lift the Champions league trophy and seeing where we are now. I say this as a supporter who was at that game.
I'm expecting the PM to call a COBRA meeting this week to discuss plans for dealing with these protests which Newcastle supporters claim 'will send shockwaves around the world'. Apparently the two most serious issues are that the owner isn't really spending quite as much as they'd like and prospective new owners decided a takeover wasn't really worth the bother. The government surely has no option but to make Ashley spend more or give the Saudis carte blanche to do whatever they like in this country. Over to you Boris, you have 5 days to sort this out!!!
Gyan and Welbeck that day man, poetry. And big Ned. Mind the 4-1 at him, Quinn maybe the best performance I’ve seen in a Sunderland shirt that first half. He was outrageous.
I've heard a rumour that Sky are buying into Friday's 'protest' and it will be discussed before the game ... ... if true then I'll be truly astonished. This is a group of people openly threatening to hold up a game, disrupt Sky's schedule and incense their advertisers. They've also accused Sky of all manner of underhand, even corrupt, practices. These lunatics don't need any more encouragement, they already believe they have the PL and PM on the run. Sky are supposed to be going to the Black Garter, home of the old Benders and visible in the photo. Whatever the case I'll be setting a reminder to watch the game, should be hilarious whatever happens
I Don't have Sky, but will pay for a day pass on NOW TV just to see 52,000 Mag. 'fans' doing what comes naturally to them!
I've told Mrs Smug I'll be in my cave watching this one ... ... it has the makings of an all time comedy classic
