They're saying he has 'unbalanced the side'. Needs to work harder. They like Ollie Watkins more. But yes, as other have said, it is twitter...
Well the change of formation to 3-5-2 to crowbar them both in would suggest they might be partially correct It certainly isn’t an outlandish statement I still remember when Chelsea got schevchenko and ballack and there was reporting (including I think quotes from mourinho) where the suggestion was both of them would play in the same side as lampard and ballack and not only would it be fine but that both midfielders would get 20 goals and both strikers would get 30 (each). For 100 between the four of them. I remember laughing at the time at the absurdity of that claim With Villa it remains to be seen what their side will be when fully fit. There were papers suggesting a 442 with Buendia and Bailey wide and Ings and Watkins. I will believe it when I see it. And it won’t be against top sides
How was that not a second yellow for Cooper? Probably shouldn’t have been allowed because of the handball but when ref played on that was surely a booking
Oh **** …… I didn’t see the challenge …. Not sure I want to ….. hope Elliott recovers like Luke Shaw did. Gary Neville saying red card for the injury rather than the tackle - how do you see it?
Well there is the rewind button. Looking again it may be his ankle, but it’s a nasty break. Didn’t look like a red card, just unfortunate.
Not on my Now TV there isn't. I've just watched it again on Twitter though and it looks a horrible injury. Challenge looks inconclusive though. Didn't look horrendous.
Looks like it was the trailing leg more than anything. Don't think it was an awful tackle but a clumsy, and perhaps unnecessary, one.
Awful to see especially to a young lad, hope he somehow recovers to play top level again. I get emotions are running high but not good to see Klopp chasing after the ref to get the Leeds lad sent off. Never a red, tackles like that happen all the time just because it unfortunately resulted in a serious injury does not make it a red card. Can forgive Klopp for his reaction as it must be awful in the heat of the moment seeing one of your players suffer that but the ref and VAR officials have let emotions get the better of them here.
Not on my Saintsplayer through the Xbox …. But I’ll leave it up to others to be honest. Not sure I want to see it ….
They give red cards on the basis " could have" injured the opponent using subjective claims about recklessness and dangerousness or whatever . So I don't see the logic of sticking up for a player that's actually injured an opponent seriously. The position of the trail leg in that challenge is very reckless and dangerous when Elliot can't even see the challenge coming , he has no chance to try to avoid contact. When someone challenges the ball they have to consider both legs. The ball wasn't there to be won in that manner
