Bonny bobby - I posted something about this a while ago - I worship the ground he walks on! However, it's impossible to judge who can and cannot afford the matches these days. Not being nasty but, I feel his motivation is related primarily to the fact that in the next few years Clubs spending ability is going to be directly linked to income - which may see it being more difficult to compete against the likes of Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and I hate to say this the Mags (according to their current attendances!). I know this is going to be a difficulty for all other clubs and I wonder whether we made a mistake in not expanding the clubs capacity to the max early doors. I know the argument is that we wouldn't fill it bearing in mind the trend in attendances. By the way I'm not saying that we are instantly going to be competing with the top five - this is obviously a progressive longer term goal - probably one of Niall's work objectives that he feels he's failing on. As mentioned in my other thread I fear the big stick attitude is not going to work - more carrots please!
Thank you Petbramy. If it is down to attendances, wouldn't it be a good idea to allow those who can prove they are unemployed in for a fiver? Better to get ã5 x 3,000 / 4,000 than nothing. It's one weeks wages for one of them! Think of the kudos (spelling?) it would give us as well - the club that cares, the club that puts its fans first...
I want to move the away fans away from where they are. Go to the Toon or Chelski and you need binoculars to see the game. Put them in the gods.
Fully agree with this. And charge the ****ers ã40 sheets minimum a game like we get. Wasn't Fulham ã45+ this year? That's a dog **** game as well.
Agree we should move them. Look where the Mags shove us and then we give them loads of seats in the South Stand. It's wrong. Question where would you move them to?
Well, we'll upset fans wherever it is, but how about above the Black Cat bar? Its about as far away from the action as we can.
Bonny - everyone is entitled to their opinion and I'm sure there are alot who feel like you. BruceysBeak I have sat in a few seats around the ground and tbh view wise there isn't a bad seat but the tanoid? system in the extension is poor and you don't get the same atmosphere prior to kick off from there. I also agree that the away fans should be moved up there.
Does anyone know what we charge away fans, whilst we on the other hand pay large wads to get in their grounds, like for like i say, charge the ****ers what we are charged, and let the unemployed in for a concessionary price on certain entrances subject to providing proof. if the new rule is about bums on seats then Bobby has a valid point, and i for one do not criticize fellow supporters, not even big Chris [ he does try my patience though]
