The other difference being that Ralph's sides are always more entertaining to watch than Puel's. And yeah, this looks the most balanced squad we've had for a good while.
Spot on Toss, you know that makes us happy clappers don't you. Can't understand this (modern) Need to find one or two players to whine about either.
My first game back at St Marys since the plague arrived. I thought both teams were poor 1st half, though at least we put in a good shift defensively we slowed and stuttered in possession. Ref awful. Subs changed the game, at 60mins I was hoping for a point, at the end cheesed off at not getting 3. I went to the game with my chum who is a Portsmouth supporter (brave on so many levels). He got so pissed off with what he called bluntly *ucking cheating by WH so much he was more pissed off than I at the end.
A loss at Everton where we always lose, a point off title contenders ManU, a gutsy draw but perhaps disappointing to not get 3 away at Toon and a point off a clear top 6 contender this weekend. I think that’s a solid run from a tough draw. The next 2 won’t be any easier so these are useful points.

I will do my best to extend my unbeaten Matchday Threads to 5 on the spin, but I fear the next one will be my last one.
21 English football clubs had the same problems as us with season tickets and new technology which was brought in to address COVID concerns (contactless). I don't like the sponsor either but as Steele said, betting company sponsorships pay 3x that of other sponsors which helps enormously.
Interesting. Do you know the other 20 clubs where fans are still awaiting season tickets? Not sure what the contactless (presumably you mean mobile ticketing here) has to do with ensuring tickets are received in a timely manner though. As for the sponsorship, well as long the money is okay then that's sound. Who gives a **** about morals anyway?
First game since 2019, mixed feelings. Game meh but some great individual performances. Stephens for me was very commanding and a good partnership with Salisu. Whilst not very entertaining, a good contest and happy with a clean sheet and a point. A few tweaks, our first win won't be too far away. Thought the support from those in the ground was very good. Oh and nice to see Glen Cockerill get some recognition.
Agree with all of that RAWMOK Ps. I was very surprised at so many neg comments on here during & after the game. The fans at the ground get quite a lot of criticism from some on here. Whilst we’re never going to be the most vociferous, thought we were pretty good. Maybe the ones who stayed away are the moaners!?
Me! For the first time I've not bought a replica shirt. I'm convinced my one man protest is going to make a difference lol. As for the tickets, I think it was hoped that most people would opt for virtual tickets on their mobile phone but strangely it seems the majority opted for physical cards which probably caught everyone off guard a bit. That said, my virtual tickets worked well for friendlies but I've yet to get in first attempt with my virtual season ticket. Still scanner problems in Kingsland North.
Modern? I used to moan in the 90s and I bet my dad was moaning in the 70s, haha. The way I see it, you highlight the weakest link, fix it, and the whole unit improves. Then move onto the next one, and so on. If we had a low quality squad then I would probably just shut up and revert back to good old gallows humour. But I see some real potential in this lot at the moment, so I’ll be even more frustrated if Ralph can’t get them playing the way they should be.
Things are worse that we thought: On the OS, the attendance for the match is shown as 0. This is probably a ruse to avoid any expecations of people being refunded for failures in the turnstile system (not that I noticed any issues)
I’ll see your 70’s and raise it back to the 60’s. At my first ever saints game I could not understand why half the crowd booed Jimmy Melia almost whenever he touched the ball. The good news is that several of our booed players have gone on to become legends - Bobby Stokes, Frannie Benali, Kelvin Davis, Guly de Prado … (did I go too far there?)
You realise my original post didn't refer to the turnstile issue? So which 20 other clubs have fans still waiting for season tickets to arrive?
