Ouch. That was uncomfortable. Charlton second best in every department.
    0-2 does not flatter Cheltenham.

The Boo boys are in full voice.
If the players are going to come back in the second half they'll have to do it without support.

The players have forgotten a few things

today’s match kicked off at 3

you play on the same team as 10 other blokes

to score a goal you usually need the ball

Absolutely! We look lost in the headlights - we don’t look at all threatening - get fuking Watson off Dobson on and let’s get the new fella on at left back as well -where both their goals have come from ffs

I owe the covered end an apology. Charlton came out fighting and the fans are right behind them!

    MoM Macgillivray.

Without him Cheltenham could have had 6.

Sorry Smudger, I might have accidentally deleted one of your posts while I was trying to add a comment using my mobile at half time.

Wish I could delete that first half <wah>

Awful performance overall. The first half we simply set up wrong, snd after going a goal down, we ploughed on to the extent that 2-0 at half time was flattering. My major concern was the simple comparison that when Cheltenham went forward they constantly had players available for the man on the ball giving good options to go forward and keep momentum. I lost count of how many times we had a player isolated on the wing with no way forward no player available, so they had to go back to find the rest of the team. We were also slow. Jayesemi would go early looking for a quick pass but we preferred to go sideways so we had Jayesemi Stockley and Lee backtracking from offside positions and the momentum died. Our decision making up front was poor. How many times did we shoot from awkward positions when players were easily available in better positions. And the defence <doh>. Cheltenham could have scored five easily we gave them so much space.

I'm tired of hearing how far we've fallen 'cos we lost to Cheltenham. The better team won. Teams go up and down all the time and we are in tier one for a reason and the reasons date back to the last ten or fifteen tears, not Sandgaard and Adkins despite the whining elsewhere.

But Adkins needs to work out his best XI quickly. And Pearce on the bench? Sorry no! When you are being overrun, you need to change, not wait and let half the game evaporate. We were left with too much to do because we could have changed up after fifteen minutes but didn't. And Adkins should know better.

It's just Charlton Envy, as first described by Sigmund Freud.

A deep seated feeling of inadequacy beginning in childhood, that some people allow to consume their lives. Those of us who have Charlton (even some who take it for granted) should remember how fortunate we are, and have a little sympathy for folks who allow their Charlton Envy make them resentful and rude.
Bless 'em, they can't help it <hug>
