As the window is now closed we seem to have near to a complete squad, i would like to see Alves and Broadhead given more game time even if only coming on from the bench.
    Thoughts anyone.

Don’t know enough about Alves and Broadhead but I don’t think there’s a single SAFC fan that can seriously complain about the squad. We’ve done exactly what we needed to. Strengthened in all the areas everyonevskated the staff for early in the window and got cover in important spots.

And we’ve done it without having to do an Ipswich and sign every player we could get in touch with on a day which end with a Y

I can see your point regarding bringing young loan players on and giving them game time but who would they replace - especially Alves and would you have him play right back or centre half? The defence as it stands (well team as a whole) have performed well and and distrupting that could be problematic during a match. If the team are coasting say 4-0 up then yeah bring them on but I would leave them as is until they are required.

The new management team have done a great job during the transfer window , the next part of the trick is keeping our position at the top of the league. The season is a marathon not a sprint but our squad seems be a lot more younger and robust compared to previous seasons , speed and power were lacking and I think our more direct style will continue to create problems to our opponents . Leave any changes to LJ but I would guard against changing things just for the sake of it .

Cannot change a winning formula. They just have to be ready to step in when their opportunity comes.
