As we are all aware we have some top young players that get a lot of recognition from the fans and the local media. We have the likes of Vuckic, Sameobi, Abeid, Richardson, Tavernier and Ferguson. All these are top players but there is one player who for me can top all of these and that player is Remie Streete.

He turns 17 in just a few weeks time and has already established himself fully in the reserve set up, who are top of the league and undefeated. He won the Jack Hixon award in March 2010 for being the most promising youngster in Newcastle.

I really hope we get to see him some time this season or even maybe getting a loan spell to a lower league side. We are short at centre back and he is clearly going to be much better than Perch so it may be worth sending the lad out on loan.

JJ's dad works in the same building as me and knows I'm a Toon fan so regularly pops into see me to talk all things Toon. Apparently he is loving life up North since his move and has settled really well. And he is banging in the goals <ok>

Don't know much about Streete, is he a local lad?

He only knows 'one way' of playing and that's defending. Grew up on the wrong side of the tracks too and can handle himself in a fight, you could say he's 'street wise'.

In all seriousness he's 'streets' ahead of our other youthers.

there are a couple i can't wait to see break into the first team set up streete being one of them the others that get me excited (not in a AH way or tash for that matter) are JJ hooper,Adam Campbell (Manchester United Premier Cup World Finals in the summer of 2010, where he won the tournament's Most Valuable Player award. Previous winners of that prestigious honour include Andres Iniesta, Fernando Torres and Carlos Tevez) Ole Soderberg,Jak Alnwick,Yven Moyo,Jeff Henderson and Michael Richardson.
I'm sure i've left quite a few out as well

There's been quite a few articles in Remie Streete, he definitely looks promising for he future. Luckily its in a position we need more to come through from as well. On a side note, Kadar was captain last night, so theres still a chance for him.
Remie definitely has er passion anyways and hates the mackems just like any other normal fan of the club would, as far as his twitter shows.

He's obviously a few years off making a break into the first team from his age, but could definitley get a decent loan sorted for him within a couple of years at least.

There's loads coming through the youth team and reserves to be fair, but we'll see how many of them make the grade as players always look 'good' in games at that level, but its a lot more difficult to bring that to the big stage.
