The statement is actually factually misleading in some respects. It states £120m net spend since summer 2019. Technically speaking accurate but they should remove the £25m spend for Willock as it’s only just happened. It’s skewed if not and we have not had any value out of that yet. Plus £40m on Joelinton who has been a failure. That nets back to £55m. It also ignores the fact that so many past signing mistakes have result in no selling transfer fees because the clart they bought where worthless. It also ignores the previous five year net spend of actual profit. So it’s a bit misleading.
In fact looking at transfer market the net spends are as follows: 19/20 - £34m net spend 20/21 - £35m net spend 21/22 - £25m net spend (which should not be included as we are yet to bare any fruits from it) So it’s a lie this £120m net spend since summer 19. 18/19 - £8m net spend 17/18 - £23 net spend So it’s still only £100m net since summer 17. Even if you include Willock it’s only £125m. So it’s more lies from the club I’m afraid.
Yes that's true, but unfortunately that pre dates the last relegation. Ashley said he was going to try in an interview and since then they've spent as much as possible.
the Willock money is in instalments too…. Oh abs lots of wages have been saved this year too….. unless you look at Charnleys…
Sky sports running this story it's a shame they were more interested in neymars latest haircut the day nufc fans tried to get it out there that one of the clubs is taking the premier league to court on grounds of anti competition breaches!!
The only person that has linked Simon Jordan to Newcastle is Roy so that can be taken with not a pinch but a lorry full of salt.
These numbers you've got are just the rough amounts for the transfer fees and don't include other fees like agent fees I would assume. Why can't newcastle fans stop digging down the wrong holes ? The club has no ****ing money, so they could'nt sign anyone. The complaint is now purely and simply about how the money is spent and who's running areas like scouting, coaching and managing. I'd say investing in a new training centre and youth would be better than signing ****e like lewis, Fraser, hendrick, Joelinton etc... The club would appear to be expecting the form from the second half of last season and so far that's not the case, so they'll address it if this continues
Because it’s lies and it’s manipulating facts to make the fans and Bruce in this instance look stupid. There’s no money because Ashley has been a **** owner. He’s never invested in his asset. Explain to me how most other clubs each season are spending more than us. Please also remember that I’m pretty good with numbers and I also like a balance sheet so I know what I am reading. Regarding the accounts and other stuff. The fact is since he took over commercial income pound for pound has actually dropped since he joined when we where a top 8 club. We should be raking in 60-80m extra each season if he had grown that part of the business.
Issue is the club think we've spent enough and have a good squad They are correct However they appointed the Steve's. Good squad and **** coaching/tactics will eventually come unstuck
That is the only area where we have cause for complaint - the commercial side of things. I don't get why they didn't appoint someone to oversee this.
We're going around in circles mate, but It's pointless still banging on about where the club was. For 13 years nufc fans complained about not spending and the last 2 years they've spent 160 million on players, so it's time to start complaining scout the real problems. Nufc is now a nothing club and has been for coming up 2 decades
Man City spent that on one player. It’s not even about spending money for the fans it’s everything mate. You keep on accepting where we are and accepting sloppy seconds. That’s fine: I want more. If you compare most bottom half premier league clubs to the income levels of similar European clubs they dwarf our counterparts. Anyhow last post on this point for me but the reason is MA. He’s the reason we are where we are. Simple as that. And it’s not the fans fault mate. You have this obsession about blaming the fans!
Man City? Man City were bought by a someone with 20 billion in cash I've just said the clubs spending every penny it can and that the issue is how its spent. I agree the reason is Ashley and how the money is being wasted. I don't blame the fans what I do is call them out when they're demonstrably wrong which is actually fairly often. If you want top 8 and a cup then you're probably being unrealistic imo, but if they spend better and get better people in then the club could maybe get the odd top 8 finish
