That's no bad thing, I think Gooch sometimes just drifts through games without doing much ( except gobbing off at the ref) then he'll have one Stormer of a game and he's flavour of the month again. A bit of pressure from our newcomers might just focus him a little bit, so maybe a good move. Healthy competition for places all over the field can only be a benefit. I'm delighted with our recruitment team, let's hope they now get busy scouting for the future.

Very good listen. Both seem well rated and have played at a similar level to League One. Dajaku has pace to burn, loves to take people on, but battles back when he loses possession, which is important. Hoffman had outgrown the Bayern 2nd team and was ready for 1st team football. Both are hungry and have a massive desire to succeed. Sounds good to me!
What exactly can/can't be done now the window has shut? Signing players for a fee I know. Can we still get loans in if Tranmere can or was this done before the window shut and they've just announced it now? Free agents are allowed to sign, anything else?

I'd take Hal Robson-Kanu. He would be more than good enough at this level. One year contract, like. Wouldn't want him in the Championship.
I’m very surprised Robbie Brady hasn’t got himself a move to a decent championship team, mind. He’s only 29, good left foot and can play in a few positions.
I'm guessing that Hawkes to Tranmere was agreed before the deadline. Then they have a certain amount of time to tie up the admin and do medicals, etc.
