Kane to Coventry is a transfer. Basically we have agreed to cancel his contract leaving him free to sign for Coventry.

Gray in is a loan deal but at the end of the season he will be a free agent.

Mbappe will also be a free agent, particularly bad business by PSG, meaning come January he will be free to negotiate his next move. There is sure to be interest and no way will we have secured promotion by then.

We couldn’t realistically have asked for any more from a transfer window than this one. We are almost certain to come under strong pressure come January for the likes of Chair, Dieng, Dickie, Willock, lets hope we are in a very strong position at that time.

Apparently the dressing room was very upset with Kane's behaviour and complained to Warburton. They told him that they had come up with a plan to send him to Coventry ... so the club obliged and did it for them.

Welcome to Andre. I look forward to seeing him have a contribution to the dressing room, playing field and bulging the opponents net at any opportunity provided by our boys.
Now let’s get on with it and do what we need to do for this season.

    Come on you Rrrrsssss!!

I cannot recall a better transfer window for us. Secured all we wanted and more. Released what didn’t fit and didn’t break the bank. I wonder where we’d be now if we’d conducted our business in this manner 10 years ago.

Seems like we have got through the window without losing any of our key players, Dieng, Dickie, Barbet, Chair, Willock or anyone else. Or have I missed someone? Yet we have strengthened the Squad with Austin, Johansen, Jordi, Field, Moses, Dozzell, Dunne, McCallum, and now Gray. Only outgoings I can think of from last season's squad are Carroll and Kane, and a few youngsters going on loan for more experience. That looks a very good window to me. Would like to have seen us strenghen defensive central midfield and the back 3, but hope Field is back very soon and can make us less porous back there.

Other significant outs other than Kane and Carroll:-Cameron, Lumley, Kelly ( who I think we made a small profit on).

The squad is definitely stronger..but numbers about the same 10 in, 11 out in some form and at least 4 of those are youngsters for experience another 2; Hamalainen and Shodipo are probably loans at end of contract

I still think Carroll was a bit mad to leave us. Whatever we offered him is surely better than what he's ended up taking.

If he'd stayed, I think he would have had every chance of getting game time and possibly being able to argue a case for a first 11 spot if his form was good. We'd have no doubt used him due to injuries or suspensions. Might have even been playing these first few EFL games with Amos being out, although Ball has been great.

Another option up front for us is striker Martell Taylor-Crossdale. He is the trialist who scored for us in the U23 match yesterday. He was released by Fulham at the end of last season. Fulham signed him from Chelsea.

Yes read it Steels & I didn’t think he had to put a topic on his past comments which Gray admits he was wrong & apologies, thought Clives opinions on that was poor & should’ve left it out, sometimes when he writes it’s ok but a lot of times it’s more of himself, just my opinion

Interesting read. Hopefully Gray will do his talking on the pitch as in scoring and becoming part of a successful QPR team. Hoping that fatherhood will mellow him a little bit.

In addition to my comment, didnt we also sign Joey Barton - a sometimes misunderstood individual with a misdemeanour list.
