I understand what you mean but how can you call him ‘one of the most talented midfielders in the world’?

What’s he done to get such accolades?

he’s not that good…he can’t be that talented if he can’t even complete a game or has a poor attitude for graft…flicks it over a few heads now and again like a circus seal and he’s the most talented mid in world football

    bonkers

Shows the desperation of our unbalanced squad that we are pinning all our hopes on that fat ****

Apparently we triggered a year's extension on CCV's contract, so the move to Celtic is a loan with an option to buy.

Not pinning any hopes mate. Neither is Nuno, which is why he's been focused on developing a very workmanlike central midfield in Tanguy's absence.

I'm chilled about it. If Nuno can't sort his head out, it's not like we're suddenly missing an asset that's been there for 2 years. And if he can, that's a massive bonus for us as it does give us a completely different dimension to our play.

Makes much more sense to give him one more honest try than it does to make him a pariah.

So despite giving this window a 6.5/10 (which is solid, don’t get me wrong) I’d say we’ve probably had the third best window in the Prem after Utd and Chelsea.

Utd definitely with the best I’d say, Ronaldo and Varane are monster signings whereas Sancho - albeit well over priced - is someone with a lot potential. Their weak point is their manager.

Chelsea bagging Saul late on as well as bringing Lukaku back makes them City’s biggest challengers in my opinion. Tuchel’s got what I’d consider a real complete team there and he himself is a great manager.

We’ve managed to keep Kane, strengthen the defence, add a starboy in Gil, get rid of some deadwood but our failure to add a striker and creative mid could (likely will) hurt us as the season goes on.

City getting Grealish but not Kane (or another striker) means they should still be good enough to win the league with their £1bn squad, albeit won’t blow everyone away like they would’ve done with Kane in their side.

No one else‘s business has overly impressed me, though there’s bound to be a few surprises.

Losing Grealish will obviously be a huge blow but I think Villa did well to act decisively and bring in Ings, Bailey and Buendia as early as they did.

I also think Palace have really freshened up a pretty stale, ageing squad by bringing in Olise, Andersen, Hughes and Edouard.

Everton have had a terrible window. Bunch of old journeymen, Demarai Gray is hit and miss, Rondon is finished and they are stuck with James.

Arsenal have spent £153m to largely stand still. Bizarre window from them.

Re Ndombele. this could be a very interesting season where we may finally get something out of him.

we tried to sell him but NO ONE wanted him! £60m player… and 2 years later not a single club thought he was worth a punt to give him a fresh start. Surely that must be a wake up call?

he literally has no choice but to sort his attitude out and prove people wrong, even if it’s to ultimately leave us in the near future. He’s actually got to make at least 1 club in world football want his services. <laugh> And he’s got a monumental task on his hands if he’s hoping one of those clubs will be Barca, Real or Bayern!

time to sort yourself out, pal.

In support of Ndombele, I'd be very pissed too if upon me working my way into the team, to become more present than not in first choice picks by Mourinho (not the easiest of tasks), Mourinho is sacked for a manager who takes me straight out of the starting eleven for the cup final, the final?!?, and pretty much all games thereafter, for the purpose of re-installing Winks as an ever present CM.

    I mean, WT actual F?!?

Is Winks a better CM? Or more importantly, what on earth had Winks done to prove himself to Mason, that Ndombele hadn't to Mourinho, other than be his mate?

It's no huge wonder that he has wanted to leave since.

Not saying I applaud or condone sulking, but the way he has been dismissed, down talked, assumed to be unfit for purpose, by fans often, has been unwarranted especially after the obvious work he had done. This assumption of laziness and poking fun at alleged weight issues seems unfair to me after the clear job he did to become important for the team.

My concern is that this situation was unnecessary. If Ndombele had been playing, he may well have made the difference in both the cup final and the PL run-in.

It's not as if Winks pulled up trees upon his return.

Total and utter garbage, we offered what we thought was sensible amount for the player, yet we are the villains, City offer what they thought Kane was worth and we turn them down and we are still the villains

Wolves like us are quite right to set their price as they see fit we are quite right to offer what we think the player is worth, that is business you don't even support either of the teams involved but you come here to stoke the fire knowing that some of our fanbase will agree with your 'rather petty; at least we tried jibe.

At least Winks tries. Ndombele was a liability in our midfield because he lacked effort and showed no enthusiasm. If he was as good as his talent leads you to believe we would have been able to shift him to another club. Nobody coming in for him shows you all you need to know. How can you sympathise with a player who has a brilliant contract at a top PL club, earns a large fortune, has loads of talent but can't be arsed? Unless he makes an effort we are better off with him not playing. 3 warning letters and no change just cancel the contract.

    Atleti wanted £30m for Trippier
    Your lot offered £18m

People in glass houses (with leaky roofs) really need to reconsider throwing those stones

Because he turned down a loan as he wants to fight for a place in the team

Given there's potential minutes in the ECL that makes a certain amount of sense - but the liklihood is that he'll be loaned at the end of January

Crazy that in the space of a year, Barca have gone from Messi, Suarez and Griezmann to Depay, Braithwaite and De Jong.

Winks is utter dreadful, a relegation calibre midfielder who’s stunk the place out with how long he’s been kept but it’s no excuse for Ndombele’s performances and attitude.

Lucas was dropped from the CL final after being the sole reason we got there and he never let that affect him despite how much it must’ve hurt.

Ndombele is often unfit, he has been overweight and his application to the cause has been shoddy. He deserves every bit of stick he gets. He’s never really been that important to the team either, a run under Jose where he showed glimpses and flashes but never anything worth the money we paid, the only thing going for him is that’s he’s still managed to be better than Lo Celso which isn’t much to brag about.

He needs a whole change of attitude if he’s to ever make it here, whilst it’d be great if that happened, I’m not holding much hope. More likely going to join the likes of Taarabt and dos Santos in the “what might have been” brigade.
