Our finishing wasn't good enough. Granted, I wasn't there, but the way we played seems to be A LOT better than in recent matches. In that sense, we were good enough to deserve a draw, we just couldn't capitalise on it like you did.
In fairness, even Jewell said Portsmouth were playing better football than us. We just have to be thankful Keith Andrews seems to find the net quite regularly! Never thought he'd be our signing of the season!
We were poor tonight, Pompey were better than us all over the park, but we got a win with one of our poorest displays of the season. We would have lost that game 5-6 weeks ago let alone last season. Interesting run of games coming up, lets not be to greedy, there is still alot to improve upon & it looks like Sonko is gonna be out for all of them. A couple of wins and a draw will do nicely thank you..! Was not that impressed with Stockdale tonight, distribution was almost Bywater like & what was he doing flapping for that cross in injury time..? Of course Portsmouth were better than us! Even the bloody referee was playing for them. I thought I have seen some shocking referees at PR but this guy took it to a new level. The standard of referees and officials in general is just shockingly bad at this level. Anyhoo we won ugly and thats another 3 points! COYB
