I don’t think he did looking at the second half. It doesn’t matter how you set up if you don’t have the desire. Mate go look at our pass completion and rewatch the lack of effort from players. We can’t pin it all on Bruce. It’s where we are though. We’ve got poor players, a thin squad and a **** manager. We will have weeks like that regular. The last 10 seasons tell us that

Can we pin anything on Bruce? Personally think it's Jones running the show now.

The players have been wasters for a long time now.

Nah it’s the other way on - people need to learn not to get defensive when their heroes are mentioned. I mean it is of course mildly amusing you all get so DEFENSIVE when Rafa is brought up given his penchant for parking the bus

Jones isn’t a good manager so that would be worrying. Not to defend him, but I do think it’s critical he missed pre season. Bruce and his coaches are archaic. So them trying to continue Jones work from last season, it’s hardly surprising we look so disjointed.

Also think the fans have to be patient and allow Jones to modernise us. It won’t happen overnight, there is always pain. We’ve been behind the times for 10 yea.

I think they have input but it’s largely taken out of their hands. It’s not like a normal club where a scouting team takes the options to manager or DOF. The list goes to Mike (or whoever has been trusted with job of keeping a tight hand on the purse strings), he crosses off the ones he doesn’t like the price tag of, and then the manager gets minimal choice. That’s what I reckon.

What concerns me is that we have two parties doing the coaching.

Last season it was clear Jones remit was to get the defence sorted and to play out from the back. This left Bruce and the Steve's to see to out attacking threat.

Fast forward to this season and the roles have been switched so our defence now gets Bruce and the Steve's which is obvious to see that that isn't working.

We just have to hope we have games where we can score one more than we concede

Isn't it Justin Barnes who gets the final nod?

You never really know but he appears to be the current hatchet man. The club should be able to be transparent in this regard. Like everything else it’s deliberately obscure. We just need a change of ownership like never before.

They all just need to go. It would be a risk that we lose Jones of course in the changes and we’d all like to retain him. I don’t think he has any loyalty to Bruce bar him giving him this chance.

If we try to bring in Potter he’d keep him as they are good mates. Most managers would want inside help, and most could work out who is up with the times.

Not gonna happen though, and to be honest I couldn’t see anything positive from sacking him even though I’d still do it. Terrible time to change managers. We should have bit the bullet in the summer.

Sacking the Steve's would be welcome at any stage of the season.

We wont win a game until we sack Bruce, we might not even win a game after we sack him honestly.

Nigel Pearson will replace Steve, someone like that.
