The mid table comment wasn’t a dig certainly. As you say if you finished mid table would be outstanding season! has some prem experience as well which obviously helps. Don’t know much about your current defenders but can’t imagine he’s any worse so no brainer of a signing really.
I liked him. I'd have accepted him as back-up for us, but we needed something extra for when the inevitable injuries to Matip and Gomez kick in. He's not quite top 6 material but (no offence) I can't see you troubling that end of the table atm. I'd like to see him given an extended run of first team football in the PL - he could do well.
Yeah interesting one that. Made a few appearances for Barca last year and did alright by sounds of it but very good prospect. Absolute wonderkid on last couple FM’s Wouldn't be going anywhere if wasn't for contract situation so surprised weren’t few more interested. Sounds like spurs were also in but preferred move to Germany.
No offence taken from any of the comments! We are well aware that we will be fighting for our PL lives in every game this year, but good to know he is a decent player. Currently have Grant Hanley and Ben Gibson at CB. Excellent at Championship level, but struggling at PL level. Hopefully Kabak can push them for a start and be better than them when his chance comes! Thanks for your input. Good luck this season... Just keep it to 3-0 against us, please!
I think he's better than both of those but he needs a organiser/sweeper alongside him, can be a bit gung-ho at times.
Kabak is a talented young defender. Hard to forget that he’s still only 20 years old. Very raw but a lot of potential.
its deadline day mate. Lets wait and see what said by the club, this stuff can start from nowhere. "It doesn't look too serious but you never know before you have a scan, which will happen tomorrow." klopp he could tell us next his career is over but on the balance of probabilities a guy who can walk off and jog up into the seats in the stand and not be helped into the dressing room is leaning me towards deadline day rumour mongering.
What will happen is, we will announce Hendo's contract today to compensate for the lack of signings. Then tomorrow, we will announce that Bobby is out for 2-3 months. I've lost all faith in our owners.
We will see. It is what it is mate, I've always called it making do, you know my views on what we need for this squad etc so I get to sit back and not get uptight about it now.
I am one of the more pessimistic posters on here But i don't see the issue We simply cannot keep up with certain clubs financially, we have to accept where we are. We will have certain targets and go for them. We are investing in the ground and we have had progress on the pitch over the past five years I still have faith in these owners
I don't expect us to keep up with Chelsea, City or even United but I would expect a team who've won the CL and PL in the last 3 years, who've got a huge global following, lucrative sponsorship deals and hugely increased revenue over the last decade to be able to spend slightly more than Brentford in order to fill one/two glaring squad gaps ahead of the new season. The lack of forward cover has always been an issue. We've always been lucky. Just like last season with the CBs our back luck caught up with us...it's happening again.
