Why would they? If I'd taken that sort of risk and got called worse than **** for the privilege I wouldn't be putting my hand in my wallet either - and I'm a fan. Of course they haven't helped themselves by being petulent and tone deaf as far as their customers are concerned but there we have the 2 sides the coin.
Exactly. On your last sentence, I don't think we *need* to throw money around like we used to, what we need is a sensible budget which can attract second tier players. That combined with promising youth and some good loans gives us stability. Brentford didn't go mental when they first came up, neither did Barnsley but they achieved, there's no reason we can't either but things like this embargo are just pointless. Like I said, no need to throw money around, but there's no need to be at the other end of the spectrum either and spend nothing. For sustainability at this level, you need to spend wisely, if you try and do it on the cheap, you more often than not get ****ed.
where did I say they should - I dont blame them for reining in the spending at all - they were clearly naive in football when the took over - Bruce got us promoted then kept us up - they must have thought it was so so easy - they then really pushed the boat out and then it all went wrong = I dont blame them at all for that
I thought yours was a balanced post. Wasn't a personal criticism, more a comment on how I would react.
This is exactly what is done at most efficient sports grounds They’ll know they’ll sell x Guinness & y Carling etc on average so just keep pouring from 35 minutes until you’ve poured say 80% of x and y… then top up as needed There you go, beer and algebra.
What’s people’s thoughts on Andy Smith? Got a mate who follows Salford & asking me about him, only thing I could tell him was, he’s supposed to be a good prospect.
Very very solid young player, I think he'll do really well for them. Mature strong lad for his age/experience
And a 'player of professional standing' according to the EFL, speaking of which 2 spots now available...
Dan James. It's a bit like when one of your fondly remembered teenage exes gets married to a total ****. I want to wish him well... ...but deep down hoped for better.
Plenty still fighting a war they lost long ago then... Incessantly repeating it gets us where exactly? Endless ****ing whining. No substantial action. Of course he's a ****. Get over it. Form a group, remortgage your houses, be heroes and buy 'em out why don't ya? Otherwise support the local boys on the field. Or **** off. Its getting ****ing boring.
