I know I'd be angry if I were a Chelsea fan right now and feel pretty agrieved. Obvious penalty but not an obvious red and a few chelks picking up cards in the protests too.
I'll take this any day. Chelsea have 4 defenders on anyway so can go 4 at the back but they will need to move mount to cm and then think about havertz up top. Tuchel will eventually take him.off and go either 5 at the back or 441. The sooner the better imo.
I wasn't expecting a red, never even entered my head tbh. However, if you're saying it's handball on the goals then it's got to be preventing a goal too
Great half of football. Thought we've been the better team through out, had some really big chance fall to the wrong player on his wrong foot. Penalty is obvious.He moved his hand forwards rather than trying to pull it out the way. Red card as well. I hope Chelsea lose their heads completely.

Think it’s one of those letter of law it’s a red as stopped a goal, but there’s a difference between it deflecting off your thighs onto your arm and someone doing a goal keeper save. maybe needs a low change but once he gave the pen don’t think he had any option but to give the red.
OK, yeah that's what NBC are saying. If you give a penalty for handball preventing a goal it has to be a red card. No option. Wasn't aware of that, but it still seems horribly harsh considering it clearly wasn't deliverate. Rules are rules ai guess, but honestly, as happy as I am to have scored, I know I'd feel absolutely gutted if it happened the other way around.
It's the rules. Anyone saying his keep has stopped a goal is wrong. That is going in off his knee and he has not only blocked the ball with arm but pushed ball out of goal. It's a clear red. Also anyone notice jorginho's disgraceful dive right after.
Red card is automatic for a goal preventing handball. No discussion. Especially on the line. Once the ref gives a pen he has to send the player off.
As an additional, Chelsea have had every descion go there way. If your going to "let the game flow" don't blow up rverytime a Chelsea player hits the deck.

I think we stay as is. Early firmino sub means we have only one sub to use tactically. We should see what chelsea do first and let them isolate lukaku up top Kovacic and silva coming on. 5 at back with two snide nasty blockers in front.
The new ref rules seem to favour the teams that make lots of little fouls, ie Chelsea, Man City, to break up the flow of opposition attacks
