Getting a point from a promotion-contender will be good for morale going into the international break. That being said, we just never looked threatening today and it still worries me. Something just wasn’t quite clicking today again in the final third and imo it’s because the wingers are too wide and isolate the striker. KLP, Longman and Williams were pretty much on the touch-line all game. The only time they moved more central, was right at the death when KLP ran in behind their defence and laid it off for Williams who tried to curl it in. We rely way too much on full-backs overlapping the wingers and Coyle’s pointless crosses into the box.
there isn’t one, that’s the problem, work in progress or not we should be able to hit the target at home, this isn’t a one off
I thought we'd lose today, so from my point of view it's a very good point. Great to hear the positive response on Huddlestone, if he's even half the player he was last time, then we could have a player playing well below his level.
Obviously a bit late now, sorry, but for future reference every league game of ours so far this season has been on here. https://soccer24hd.com/
We deserved a point against decent opposition and looked tighter in defence but we are powder puff up front at the moment. Tom was quality and I thought Bernard did well in central defence, seems comfortable on the ball. Tyler Smith tried hard but was well policed in the second half, probably lacking match fitness, understandably. We need Wilkes back to see if can add some much needed threat up front.
Good solid well earned point, I doubt we will come up against a better drilled and set up team then we did today. Really impressed with Tom and the doc, plus Bernard at the back. Still some daft losses of concentration that could and maybe should have cost us... Hopefully it's a springboard for us. One frustrating/disappointing thing so far this season is how much KLP has failed to adapt and step up to championship level, we are in no danger of losing him ATM
Very proud of them today, although outplayed we deserved the point. Hudds just oozes class and a calming presence. Clean sheet, good point just need it to click up top.
That's the first time Bournemouth have failed to score in a League match this season..2 goals in each of their other 4 games.
Proviously unbeaten Stoke couldn't keep the score down at Fulham, so really for me the only disappointment performance wise was Derby. We're going to have games where we are going to have to defend more than attack this season.
