Because they don’t do enough to entice people back.
Adams good at pr but he was in an enviable position with a new stadium and a winning team
In effect after years of **** we were flat track bullies.
Problems that appeared later were Adam did nothing for the infrastructure of the club with the youth set up. I mean we were playing non league clubs in the youth set up ffs

The reserve and youth setups were different back then. When we went up to the PL in 2008, we played in the PL reserve league and it's no surprise we produced better players at that time as the were playing against better opposition.

Then they brought in the categories and it became essential we were at least a Cat 2 or there's no point having an academy

You are pissing in the wind.
For thousands the damage is done and for a large proportion of those, the only solution is for the Allams to be gone. Debate all you like about the right or wrongs of that; it won't change the fact.
Continuing own goals, even relatively little ones like crispgate just re-enforce feelings (not to mention everytime Ehab opens his gob with his BS and lies). A shame, as the club are now doing some good stuff.

Fair post from PLT ....
-> "We need to move past this attitude of telling off the people who don't come any more - they aren't listening.
We instead need to talk more about how we get those people back or get others to take their place. By we I mean the club as a whole, but obviously it needs a big concerted effort from the club itself first and foremost".

The club has more recently done some good things. Membership prices is clearly one ... but even then there was an own goal with things like the match day prices, and non availability of still advertised 6/12 match passes - little things but they just re-enforce the feelings.

To PLT's point, I would say it's not that those people aren't listening. It's that they've made their decisions. You can only piss some people off so many times. Ehab isn't going to change and unfortunately isn't even going to allow a CEO to run it for him, so the vast majority of those missing are lost while the Allams remain. End of.

So it is logically then about the club consistently engaging with it's community to attract "others to take their place" ... and in some ways to a degree they are doing that, but they are missing so much more, and continuing to score own goals & piss people off (RH is one example). But as others have said already, it is also driven to a degree, not exclusively, by success on the pitch; this season isn't going to help as it will be one hell of a struggle as Ehab isn't giving McCann the tools to do his job (and I still doubt McCann has the ability anyway).

But the real answer is for the Allams to sell, or if not then at least to stay totally in the background and hire an Adam Pearson type 'CEO' to front it.

(The above is not about me personally, but yes, I despise the guy, and their ownership contributed massively to me going awol, but now if I want to attend then I attend, but for various reasons it's without a membership).

Have to agree that the Alan’s have basically ground down a lot of loyal supporters who I believe wouldn’t care to much which division we were in but are more than pissed off with the conduct of the owners over the period they have been in charge.

it had taken the gloss and enjoyment from what was something I have enjoyed for many years.

Whatever they may do in snippets to appease and improve fan involvement and services,I’m afraid they will have to go or a least step away from a front line involvement…

We don’t care what division we’re in
Another myth

Its been said so many times on here that the club are missing a major trick... Start with the kids.... Upper West, limited need for Stewarding... give free tickets away to schools on a rota, their football teams perhaps... that would be a great start, before you know it, kids will be asking parents to be taken to the match...

Good idea but the limited stewarding wouldn't apply. You need the same amount of stewards if there is 500 or 4,000 in there.
